A is in the playroom with her dolls house - playing happy families I’d imagine.

A’s been so sulky because I didn’t let her play outside. You may need to scold her a little if she keeps it up.

A said she had been climbing, hugging and riding the trees…when you found her she was clearly inserting herself in nature. How nice.

A said she was going into the woods, to her ‘den’. Should I have let her go alone? Maybe you should go looking for her, like the Woodsman.

I don’t know where A gets these morbid fancies of hanging around in the gloomy parts of the house. Such a romantic, melancholic nature.

A told me she wants to write you a letter, signed with a kiss. Isn’t that sweet?

She was so fidgety at the dinner table and excused herself so abruptly - will you go and see if she’s okay? She likes using the bathrooms in the old part of the house, says she prefers the furniture. But she has been gone a while…

Is this the state you found her in? All sticky and messy with red knees?

Where’s A? She’s just playing in the attic. You know, where the old beds, chests and rocking horses are? You may want to check on her though, I’ve heard some bumping. She could get stuck.
