#RenewTheExorcist Twitter Campaign Friday 11/18

Hey Exorcist fans!

We’re going to have our first Twitter campaign this Friday, November 18th.

I’ve combined efforts with Exorcist Fan (give them a follow for all things Exorcist series!) on Twitter to help us spread the word and reach as many fans as possible!

For this campaign we’re going to use #RenewTheExorcist as our hashtag.

The goal is to have a high volume of tweets and tweet continuously over a span of time to get it trending and keep it there. We want to make as much noise as we can.

You can use the hashtag at any time all day (we want to make this a tweetathon!) with the most tweets happening before and during the East Coast and West Coast airings of the new episode so we have enough time to get it trending. Ideally, it would be great to keep at least one hashtag trending even between the gap of time between East and West coast airings. (Convert your time here.)

Some helpful hints:

We have to generate a lot of tweets to get noticed. If you can’t be around to participate, you can use apps like TweetDeck or Hoot Suite to schedule tweets. (They’re free.) Tweet as much as you can. The more people who tweet with us, the better chance it has to trend.

No swearing. I know, I know. It’s difficult. But Twitter has rules.

Mention FOXTV’s twitter account in your tweets, if you can. We want to get their attention!

Like/share/reblog/retweet this post on social media to help spread the word.

Like/share/retweet any and all posts from the show’s official social media accounts. Every post helps.

Also, if you haven’t heard, Jeremy Slater (writer/creator of the show) is holding another contest this week. You can use the hashtag #ExorcistRematch all week and he’ll be choosing winners after the West Coast airing of the new episode. It’d be great to get multiple hashtags trending, if we can.

We did so well getting the show nominated for a People’s Choice Award, I think we have the power to let the network know we want season 2!
