Civic Action Assessment of Issue
My role is to vote for my favored party in order to change the government to my liking. I have learned that there is a lot more that can be done than just voting putting way more responsibility on the people than I ever imagined. I do not feel like its my obligation to directly try to change the world but to be well educated on candidates and cast ballots, yes. I attended the lafayette city council meeting on May, 27 2017. I was more disturbed about Lafayette, when I left than when I came in. The board doesn't even seem to really care about citizens anger fueled rants about things they really dislike they tell them some irrelevant bullshit after making them sit down. Money is spent in a ridiculous fashion on dumb and irrelevant things and to top off the awkwardness the city manager just has to sit there as he gets roasted about his salary and the city’s condition.

Interest Groups and PACs
The Sierra Club. Pro environment group focused on the outdoors. Move beyond Fossil fuels, Preserve our wildlife, Enjoy the outdoors, Stop trump from rolling back protection. They are current trying to stop Trump from dismantling the EPAs CPP clean power plan and go back to more fossil fuel energy. They are from Oakland California, meetings are the first Monday of every month. They have activities almost everyday such as hikes or volunteer opportunities such as tree planting. They have group walks around the reservoir could be interesting.
California league of Conservation voters. Pro environment group focused on protecting California wildlife and habitat. Save honeybees from pesticides, stop hydraulic fracking, stop smoking improve air quality, save our oceans from trash. Support Jimmy Gomez, he opposes big corporation polluters saving our communities. There are not really any meetings or group outings. There are opportunities to donate or to work of CLCV.
Energy Citizens. Pro energy, could care less about the cost to the environment. They think fracking is a viable resource, Pipelines are necessary, the air is disposable and there reasoning is energy needs to come from somewhere. The endorse Donald Trump because he is repealing the environmental protection that the EPA has previous set into place. There is no physical location it is a national interest group. They ways to help out are working or donations.
The Sierra Club seems to be the best organized. They target and are supported by environmentalist
League Of Conservation Voters. To turn environmental values into a local, state and national priorities. Money raised $4,497,501 and total money spent $4,461,553. Cash on Hand $100,427. They support mostly democrats from what I see.

Political Party Action
Republican: They do not include anything about the envoirment, because they don’t believe global warming exists or prefer not to think about it. I don’t agree because I think its a big problem.
Democrat: They think its a issue and aim to fix it threw the middle class and raising awareness. I agree because I think anyway to help the envoirment is a good thing to do.
Libertarian: Its more on the individual because governments have proven that they cannot deal with the envoirment. I agree because its our planet and we have the power to fix it without government action.
Green: They want a strict new government policy to rapidly change our route of climate change. I agree somewhat but I think it could be a little to much of a shock and could interrupt the economy.
Peace & Freedom: Socialism is necessary to stop the wealthy corporations from exploiting the envoirment. I disagree because socialism is to crazy for me I want goals to work for in my life.
I identify most with the Libertarian. No I consider myself one. I did vote for Gary Johnson in the 2016 election and I would vote again for the Libertarian party in the next election, if I like the candidate.

Blog Post 6
Trump is gonna cut EPA budget by 31%. He thinks the environment is not important at all and didn't put it as one of his issues. Trump has no idea of the state of the environment and seeping it under the rug is not gonna do anything but put the environment in a worse state.2.) I completely disagree with Trump. 3.) Dept of Environmental Protection 4.) Protecting human health and the environment. 5.) Land, Waste and Cleanup because I want to protect our California and national forests. 6.)Trump doesn't care about the environment, we are already destroying the environment with current funding less would make it worse.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/29/politics/trump-epa-cuts-infighting-climate-change/
Trumps decisions on climate change, Miranda Green CNN, Trump is cutting environmental funding by 31%. All people that care about the earth, national lakes, national forests, animals and the environment. Bias is leaning towards anti trump so democrat. Shows the changes that trump is trying to make to worsen the state of the environment. Yes I agree trump is being an idiot and needs to see the facts for what they are.

blog post 5
Senator Harris and sentator Desaulnier are both pro environment and have sponsored bills on envoirmental issues.
There are 3 bills on my issues. HR1289, Expand John Muir Historic site. 44 acres of land will be added to the current site. I vote yea because it would cost nothing and preserve a piece of history and the environment. Came from the house, it has been unamousley passed by the House Natural Resource Committee. I'm currently ok with the site now but it could be bigger and better.

State Action
Steve glazer is a democrat and a environmentalist, Katherine Baker is a republican but also an environmentalist. We all agree on the needs of the environment. Katherine Baker voted to increase the use of renewable energy by 50%. Steve Glazer voted to ban smoking products of any kind at State Parks.
SR-27 INTRODUCED March 09, 2017 ,Major Action was to show that California will not regress its environmental progress. I fully support the bill and I think our representatives would to. I think its great that California is the first one to give the middle finger to trump. Passed in the senate APRIL 03, 2017
http://www.rawstory.com/2017/02/california-lawmakers-release-environmental-bills-in-attempt-to-thwart-trump/
S: California lawmakers make a bill that opposes trumps new environmental plans.
A: Rawstory.com
C: Trump is in the process of enacting a bill that would completely change current regulations. Rewinding time and going back to worse.
A: Democrats.
P: Gave it pretty straight, not much of commentary just facts.
S: First state to disobey trump, could be history in the making. I would love to see United States Of America V. State Of California in the supreme court. Yes I agree with the article because we need to be nice to the environment.

Constitutional Issue
1Sackett vs EPA
2 decided Mar 21, 2012
3 Chantell and Mike Sackett filled in part of there 1/2 acre lot, in preparation for building a house. The EPA sent them a compliance order. They requested a hearing but where denied. They then filed a suit in the US district court of Idaho that made its way eventually, to the supreme court.
4 They challenged the compliance order as arbitrary and capricious under the Administrative Procedure Act, issued without a hearing in violation of the Sacketts' procedural due process rights and issued on the basis of an "any information available" standard that is unconstitutionally vague.
5 They sited the 5th Amendment which grants rights to the accused.
6 9-0 decision, Justice Antonin Scalia wrote the majority opinion.
7 EPA has all authority over environmental issues and how they view and perceive them.
8 I agree because they people illegally filled in the first place, they didn't bother for a permit the EPA didn't bother to review there case.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jeremy-symons/meet-trumps-pick-to-disma_b_12832350.html
1 Donald Trump picking apart the EPA.
2 Jerry Symons.
3 Trump putting CIA guy , Myron Bell in charge of EPA.
4 Democrats.
5 Very liberal, hates trump.
6 It shows the efforts of trump to slowly cripple the EPA. It keeps our environment happy and healthy. I agree because they prove what there saying with facts.

getting started
Subject: Nature, Environmental Conservation
author: the humbling man
context: Americans who care about the envoirment
audience: Democrats, anyone who cares about global warming and the envoirment
prospective: Democrat, Conservationist
significance: The way we currently treat nature needs to change
I agree with the blog because he cites his info and he has similar views to myself. On twitter I follow Ebmud, Cal-Fire, Ca.gov, Cal Fish and Wildlife and CA Tree Task Force, I chose these twitters to follow because they are all local agencies that deal with the forest. There tweets are mostly reports and updates but I would agree with them.
