MOMENTOUS DAY WITH GOOD PEOPLE

As you getting older, every hour, minute, and second becomes increasingly important. So you must have fun in life. Choose to be with real people instead of wasting time with someone who isn't treating you well. Choose what is good rather than what is bad.

It was around 20th of July, 2021. I awoke to the sound of my cellphone alarm and went downstairs to take a bath while my parents, siblings, and nephews finished bathing and the others were getting dressed. I was in the bathroom when i heard the beautiful takbeer coming from the mosque, and i hurried to take a bath because my mother had called and told me that they were leaving to go to the mosque. I hurriedly dressed and went to the mosque and when we arrived i sat and listened to the beautiful Takbeer that can only be heard during Eid 'l Fit'r. After that, i perform salah and went home. Me and my cousin decided to throw a small party at the teen center in our village. I had planned to exchange gifts, so we all rushed to the store to buy gifts. The clothes we women are wearing are all the same style, just in different colors. The most funny moment was while I'm busy buying gifts i unexpectedly met my cousin in the same store and we laughed together. I was overjoyed with the gift i had purchased for my cousin and it was a crinkle hijab and ten pairs of socks. I bought it because i knew she'd like it. I know it's going to be a lovely day because im with my cousins, nephew and friends.

And now comes the most exciting part, The exchange gift. Everyone approached the person to whom they were going to give the gifts they had purchased and I, in turn, approached my cousin and gave her my gift. She was surprised because i wasn't the one she expected to pull out his name and give her a gift. I saw the joy on her face, and it made me happy. After i finished giving my gift, my nephew approached me and handed me the gift she was holding. I was also surprised because she wasn't the one i expected to give me a gift, but i was happy and thanked her. When everyone had their hands on the gift, we opened it together. I was surprised when i opened the gift i received because something glitters of hijab nude, which is my favorite, appeared in my eyes when i opened it. I couldn't wait any longer and wear the hijab that my nephew had given me and beautified myself. The hijab that he had given me was just right for me and i felt pretty while wearing it. I really appreciate her gift and I'll be treasured it forever. After we opened our gifts, we ate and then played, and i really enjoy our games, the kind that make you cry, laugh, and make your stomach hurt. I ask my cousins to just have a sleep over. It was pure laughter, teasing, and crying. Everyone shares problem and offers advice that is why i consider it a memorable day.

These people brought me happiness and joy. I call them "happy pills". Despite my anxieties, depression, and worries, these genuine people gave me genuine happiness and medicine, and i was able to forget all of the bad things that were happening. I was depressed and overthinking about what was going on, but these people helped me fight back and move forward. I realized i needed to let go of my fear and refrain from excluding myself. I also learned how to live joyfully in the midst of the pandemic. I am very happy because i have good and kind companions. I discovered how wonderful it feels to be surrounded by such wonderful and amazing people. I've realized how much i value genuine people. I can't thank them enough for the positive change they've brought into my life.
