@aheonynan kindly lended me their lines to do some coloring work over (thank you once again!<3). I had so much fun with this, I used a palette and a light source I usually don't do and it was plenty educative, having to work with your usual coloring style to match someone else's drawing.

these sketches are a bit old and I never posted them but they still look kinda nice

so I've been trying to figure out what's going on with the floor plan of Kakashi's apartment (again). I've barely seen any kind of research, but maybe some of y'all have thoughts on that.

(here we're not taking into account the bathroom in that one episode where he was shown without his mask. it's a filler episode, so it doesn't count)

update: it IS canon but I need to double check, because on screenshots it looks like a different building

in the anime it looks more like a dorm room (otherwise, why would there be a doormat in the bedroom). and for some reason he has.... like.... zero personal belongings except for what's on the windowsill or whatever it is

there's at least a bookcase (and something on the desk) in the manga, but what is that doorway on the left???? I think it's supposed to be a bathroom, but who knows

in my imagination the floor plan looks something like this??

the thing is probably Kishimoto just didn't think too much about it because it literally doesn't matter, but it DOES matter TO ME, okay?????

halfway through I suddenly remembered that I wanted to draw kkshi in his summer outfit so now I have two versions

I like the lineart too much so idk if I should color it

I love writing Kakashi experiencing unpleasent symptons when he's in love, like, this man hasn't known anything good in his life since he was 5, when he feels happiness and love his first thought is that he's dying of heart failure or a stroke

finally made a small reference sheet with some basic info for my oc

always thinking about kakashi hatake being the epitome of a ninja. he is the leaf villages greatest success. he is proof their indoctrination works, that a person can suffer horrible tragedy and grief over and over and still lay his body down for the same institution that caused his trauma. he is konohas greatest achievement and that is so sad
