Thor the Inventor is a mechanic. While he was in the game he would have made various gadgets and machines for Hat Kid to use. He would have repaired the canons in town, allowing you to use them in subsequent levels.

Tim the CEO of Time and Friend (updated)

Tim is quite a mysterious figure, he was cut right after the prototype along with his Friend. He played the role of a tutorial character in the prototype, teaching the player how to attack and giving them a time piece as a reward for completing the tutorial.

A video of a side by side comparison of train rush! 

Some things to note are: - The conductor would have not blown up the train, would have been the what we now know as the receptionist - Shows that the game may have originally been about chasing mustache girl down and fixing problems she caused instead of her just appearing last minute - Owls would have attacked you by throwing clip boards instead of books - An unused laser science owl can be seen attacking. - Physic based platforms were cut from the stage - The purple ball that appears in the released games art is in this build. May hint that the ball was removed sometime close to release - A speed boost collectible was cut

I had the idea of making a full commentary on the difference now that I can actually edit. However question is would that something you would want to see? A person with to much time over analyzing a game about a child in a hat?  vote here, would mean a lot.

This blog is dead... well was gonna be.

Well I have been next to dead for awhile when it came to this blog, I had plenty of content to do and stuff lined up, however it just sorta stopped. And well I am back and have good news. I am gonna try and do posts once more.

A huge reason for me stopping work was I was running in to a lot of issues when it came to a “big project idea” I had. To sum it up, it was gonna be a head to head comparison of the beta to the released version of the game. I had about 3-4ish stages recorded and was ready to edit.

However turns out editing is much harder then it sounds, and using a free movie application and wanting to do more complex things was not really working out. (who would of guessed)

so after spending about a week on trying to put together just one video I gave up, and since I spent so much time on it I completely burned myself on A Hat in Time.

I was planning to write a “This blog is dead” post and just throw out all the content I have lying around. Though out of pure luck I checked humble bundle today and found they were having a software sale and was able to pick up Vegas pro 14 for 20 bucks. 

This software was like 1000 times more efficient, and I was able to make a video 4 times as long in 5 hours compared to the week it originally took. 

SO! This video is gonna be posted tomorrow and I hopefully will have the drive to compile everything once more and much more efficiently

First! The blog has hit a 136 followers! Absolutely Amazing! 

I would do something to celebrate how ever I do not know what. Perhaps I’ll give away a copy of the game if I can round up the extra funds.

Second! I apologize for the lack of posts, found myself addicted to ff14 again! Hopefully I get around to making more soon! hell I been toying with the idea of doing a live commentary on the beta! only issue is that I don’t know how to edit so it would have to be all done in one go, or maybe a lets play of sorts! 

Third and most important! B-side of the A Hat in Ost has released on steam! Be sure to pick a copy and support the devs! Plus some cut soundtracks are in it! Pick it up here on steam!

Looking through files shows he never got that far with have only 2 animations and one bit of dialogue.

-The spinning umbrella was going to be a midair spin attack but this became the Official Freedom Planet 2 badge DLC

-The Vanessa badge would have function close or exactly the same to the Time Stop hat

-Then the potion badge would have been the same of the Vanessa badge but severed the same function as the Witch hat
