disenchanted with the vampire's very presence, the lord's gaze remained level. prior to such bold words that had spilled from his mouth prior had left a weighty silence between them. perhaps his initial thought on the matter might have been best resolved by eviscerating and tearing the very heart from the wanderer? but as unwarranted as the brood's existence had been, a part of him had been obligated to assist in some fashion.
" you are to do nothing. least you destroy any means of returning to whence you came from, boy. wander the grounds as you deem fit, i will not provide you sustenance. i'm certain you are of worth enough to survive. beyond that, i will alert you when i've the means of returning you back to your own time. this is where my generosity ends. "
a brush of fabric announced his steps beyond the other, booted heels sounded against the flooring. his departure from the corridor soon coerced his form to dissipate into the very shadows that clung so tightly to the world around them. the castle had certainly been his domain, something freely manipulated to his will and no other.

his silhouette flourished, a wave of heat exploded just near the other before a savage grasp instead sought the dhampir's throat. digits had been enticed to threaten flesh by splitting it apart.
" i merely led you along like the little boy following his father. need i punish your insolence once more? "
rather than tear at the other's throat, instead a wave of force beckoned the other free from his infernal grasp. arms had since folded into his person, the lord's cloak a familiar silhouette to most who'd faced down death. how the other landed or if he had brought no proper care to dark features.
" begone from my sight. "
