This is my Gran. She was christened Agnes although she hated that name and was known as Gwen. But some how it seemed to fit with Ruby when I named my little studio. I inherited her Ruby eternity ring you see and I wear it every day. 
As a little girl I used to sit in her studio and admire every little detail. I wasn’t allowed to touch anything but she trusted me to just sit and soak it all up. Her paint brushes and oils, canvases and other tools. Everything had its place. I can remember every little detail of that room. I am still inspired by her as I am lucky enough to have a few of her early paintings in my home. My Gran…., Artist, Teacher, Writer, Crafter, Farmers Wife, Mum of 8, Grandmother to 22. She was very special to me and my is forever in my heart.
