Sometimes I see straight women posting and I'm like hmmm okay I can see why some straight men are driven insane without necessarily being like Andrew Tate psychos

Tucker Carlson got hacked and the only thing the hacker did was add “Fully vaccinated. They/Theirs 🇺🇦” to his bio
That is the funniest possible thing they ever could have done and the restraint is incredible

One thing I liked about Hacks not about Ava/Deborah was how the show treated the director lady (Elaine? I think). Because at first it looked like she is gonna be a disaster - weird cooky lady who didn’t have any good directing credits for years? Little bit off-putting, quirky, slightly annoying ex-alcoholic? And then the thing with the unlucky hand shake? I was 100% sure she’s going to fuck up. And then she nailed it. Just like any man with the same characteristics would nail it in another show. I liked it a lot.

I'm starting to feel delusional that I genuinely don't think JPL's plan is Marty/Deb endgame. I do not read Paul's comments in the pod are not like oh, he ships them. He literally just described enjoying watching their dynamic and the way Chris and Jean play off each other, which he has said from the start of the show and guess what... So do I. I love Deb and Marty's dynamic, I love the rich history they have and the way they interact and as the creators/writers/directors of the show, I would hope they feel the same way about the characters and dynamics they have created!!! Jean and JPL talk about the proposal reveal in 208 and they literally say, it's something Deb probably has regrets about sometimes and sometimes she's probably like THANK GOD she didn't accept. Cause there are a lot of reasons they legitimately wouldn't work as a couple.
It's a powerfulI reveal fundamentally in what it reveals about Deb. And it reframes her behaviour around Marty dating someone age appropriate. Deb is growing, she's moving forward. The resolution for her is not to stay in the same cycle with the same man like she has been for the last 30 years. It all feels geared towards acceptance for Deb and letting go of the past. Letting go of the narratives she fed herself.
(And on a practical note, until Marty and Victoria break up, we won't have to worry about it because Jean basically confirmed her personal HC that Deb never sleeps with Marty when he is married/in a relationship. )
