Indulge me for just a moment

I am having such a struggle all because of my stupid elf guy. Mainly his story. I have been having such a debate on whether I should just completely start over and do something less complex, or if I should continue with the story I've grown attached to. Here are the options:

Option A: I stick with the story that I have developed for two years that follows Artemus and his journey as a Jedi and an apprentice to a universal god. To then undergo obstacles and challenges that leave him scarred as he slowly comes to terms with him being the soul reincarnation of a long dead god. Along with many other variables to the story that make it complex and would make this summary way too long.

Or

Option B: start over completely from scratch with the idea I just came up with today where Artemus has a regular Jedi master, leads a double life like in option A, more involved with the Empire and overall less complicated and slightly more relatable.

I know I sound crazy but indulge me please
