The text below was found written on a slightly burnt paper note found at the beach near the remains of the shoes:

“We burn the old to make rise for the new... 23rd June is the longest day of the year and the ancient pagan traditions from all across Europe tell that tonight, the shortest night of the year, is the perfect moment to communicate with other worlds. And purify yourself by the ritual of setting a bonfire that will help empowering the sun for a fertile harvest.”

“My one and only true love when speaking about sneakers it's been and always will be The Airwalk “The One” . A love story that goes far back in time (more than 20 years) a flame that never went down because since then, I tried always to have a fresh pair of these beauties ready to rock. But this is not a love story. This is a story about rebirth, several countries and thousands and thousands of miles not just to end up right here right now but to make rise for the new and start all over again proving that with the same pair of shoes you could air-walk heaven or fire-walk hell”

“We burn the old to make rise for the new... El 23 de Junio es el día más largo del año y las costumbres ancestrales paganas de Europa dicen que esta noche , la noche más corta del año, es el momento perfecto para comunicarse con otros mundos. Y purificarse con el ritual de la hoguera que ayudará al sol para una cosecha muy fértil.”

“Mi único amor verdadero cuando hablamos de zapas es y siempre han sido las Airwalk “The One”. Una historia de amor que se remonta a tiempos hoy día legendarios (más de 20 años) una llama que nunca se apagó porque desde entonces siempre he procurado tener a mi disposición un par fresco listo para salir a escena. Pero esto no es una historia de amor. No es un romance. Es una historia de renacimiento, varios paises y miles y miles de kilómetros no sólo para acabar aquí y ahora sino todo lo contrario, para comenzar una y otra vez de nuevo demostrando que con el mismo par de zapatos se puede caminar el paraíso o el infiernol”
