A page from a children's book project I'm currently pressed to complete that is looking increasingly like a discard as the client did not approve of it. I don't have it in me to let it go to waste though… I mean, look at it! 🤦🏾‍♂️

A simple logo recently completed for a closely acquainted client. The challenge with these kind of jobs is trying to not overthink and stick to minimalism through the entire project. 💀

I don't do it as often since I transitioned more into doing art professionally, but when I get art block I occasionally draw people whom more or less inspire me to work through it. This is the model and music artist, TK Wonder.

Not a commission piece at all; this was done in a DTIYS challenge and it was unreal how easy this was to do! Sometimes, I have moments in drawing whereas it feels like I can make no mistakes and every stroke of the apple pencil is flawless, but I can never replicate that. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Definitely one of the smoother commission jobs I've completed, the client wasn't much of a fan of the logo he was using and hired me to conjure up and something totally different. My idea was simple, bold and got the point across. I even tossed in two other ideas I came up with for free.

An album cover I completed for a local Memphis artist back when I was more "green". I would not have taken this approach if I knew then what I know now, but I still acknowledge how well it turned out considering my skill level at the time.

I also design graphics for wearables such as t-shirts and accessories. This is a small collection of work I have done for a regular client of mine in particular. It can actually be pretty trying to get a description out of him that makes sense 💀, but I typically work patiently with him by talking them out and illustrating short sketches until I get a firm okay.

I finished these commissions for a local Detroit rapper/musician. The avatar was crafted according to descriptions he gave me, but the animated logo was an idea I came up with in a stroke of brilliance and it was well received—I even elected to animate it + add a TV white noise sound to it myself.

Certainly not my first commission, but this is the largest project I've done so far. This is the cover to a 14-page children's book I completed while living abroad in Brazil. I was in a position where I was giving professional art my all and this was the most ambitious project I took on that helped me make leaps forward as an artist.

Due to being contractually bound I can only show the cover of the book, but perhaps you may happen across it soon. 👍🏾
