This is my humor talisman for the rest of the week
A silly thing I did with that Spinosaurus from before - made it actually SPEEN, complete with appropriate audio!

I get that this is some people's experience, but it's not mine. I was raised as an atheist, by atheist parents who were raised Catholic and Methodist. This seems to me to be the biggest division in atheists: those who were raised and those who eventually discarded their religious upbringing. My atheism was very much centered on rational thought, the scientific method, and evolutionary biology. I am not cis, het, or a man. Not all science-rooted atheists are Hitchens/Dawkins/Harris wannabees.
the athiesm of women/people of color/lgbt people is absolutely different than the athiesm of cishet white men and i feel like people forget that a lot

Fika is the Swedish tradition of having coffee, cake, and a chat. It’s such an integral part of the culture that many businesses have fika twice a day, and sometimes it’s mandatory. Source Source 2
According to IKEA’s corporate website: “Some of the best ideas and decisions happen at fika.“

It’s a shame the National Geographic folks couldn’t have shot this thing when it was painted–but here’s the finished standing Quetzalcoatlus. He’s taller than a modern giraffe!
