Zoe Kazan wrote and starred in this strangely good movie. There was a turning point, about halfway through maybe, where I started to feel uncomfortable. Because you realize how gross it is, that he is controlling her in a truly abusive and way. A way which is so the opposite of love, but he is so convinced that it is love. I wish it got more into his not having any friends problem. And I hated the ending. Hated it. Otherwise, worth watching. My favorite scene which has pretty much nothing to do with the premise of the movie, below.

20th Century Women

2016 Directed by Mike Mills

This was a very good movie, I don’t know how it took me almost three full years to see it. Anette Bening and Greta Gerwig were already two of my favorites but this made me love them even more. It is funny and sad and weird and has a great soundtrack. It tracks feminism across three different generations of women. And wowowow would I love to see more movies and TV showing how feminism can positively influence young men.
