Not everyone deserves your friendship, or your care, or your heart or your love. And some don’t even deserve the words that explain why you’re taking it all back. Sometimes you have to adjust your behavior based on another’s, even if you were willing to provide that love unconditionally before.

Life lessons:

Keep your cards close. Don’t be an open book.

People - and few at that - earn your trust. Do not give it out. Observe. Do not tell them everything. Keep secrets.

Never speak badly about yourself.

Do not fear change.

Do not live in the past. Nostalgia: It’s not what it used to be

Every day is a new day.

Get up. Every day. Especially the ones where you don’t want to. You don’t have to do much on those days, but do something. 

Stay away from drama and negativity; there is only room for positivity and love.

Whenever you feel like giving up, remember you were given this life - these opportunities that present themselves to you - because you are strong enough to face it.

Don’t overthink. Don’t worry that you don’t have it all figured out. Life is a lesson. You become; it takes a long time.

Trust your instincts. If it feels wrong, don’t do it.

Don’t be a people pleaser; stick to your guns.

Never compare your life to others. Be patient and trust that everything you want is coming. And when you have it, stay humble.

Life is a gift. It is good. It is what you make it. Your early life is the one you learn with and your later life is the life you live after that.

Let go of what you can’t control.
