A very peaceful place back home, with sounds of water splashing behind and blue dragonflies silently moving near the water

Where I grew up there once was a creek that has (artificially) dried out. I really miss it, even though I only have childhood memories of it. Last week I went there and saw the old weeping willow that I had always admired. I tried to get there, I always wanted to stand right underneath it. But I couldn't get there because next to the trees that once grew along the creek there were several square meters covered with stinging nettles. I couldn't but give up but I also like the thought that this tree is at least safe from humans and the pollution that I saw on the path to this spot

Dear fellow cottagecore and academia friends,
Recently I remembered something I once had as a child called "Poesiealbum" (German). It has gotten a little bit out of fashion but I thought was something that should be brought back / spread among the cottagecore and academia community. After I did some research I couldn't find and equivalent in the English language so let me introduce you to:
✨ Poetry albums ✨
Definiton:
A square-shaped book with blank pages that is handed to friends to be filled with a few lines of thoughtful poetry for the owner of the book.
Themes of the poetry can be about friendship, love, what the person means to them, hopes and dreams and moral. Inspiration can always be taken from other poets but can also be self-written. Drawings and stickers can be added.
Origins:
"At the beginning of the 16th century, the costum of writing the names, coats of arms and mottoes of good friends in the family register [...] came into being. In the 18th century, dedications and many drawings were added to the mottoes, and over time the family registers became books of rememberance. The poetry album had its heyday in the 19th century, when members of literary circles "immortalized" each other with verses and artistic contributions in specially purchased notebooks. The costum was mainly practised by adults."
- Extract from the German wikipedia article on "Poesiealbum"
What you will need:
An empty book with blank pages (or lined or dotted, whatever you prefer)
Friends who can spare some time to fill a page
What your friends can put in there:
Poems
Quotes
Rhymes
(Floral) stickers
Sketches and small paintings
Pressed flowers
Their names + date of entry
Banners by @bronzewasp

Hello ~
What is a goal or dream of yours??
Oh, thank you so much for the question!! 💚
Since I was too struggling with it in the past my ultimate goal in life is to find a way of living and thinking with which I'm happy. I am still trying to find out what it actually means, if long-term happiness is a sum of all the peaks or to minimize the lows or a prevailing mood of contentedness (if that exists). What I've learned so far is that nobody could give me a definite answer, not even my therapist but that this goal is a good one and the search is good. There may not even be an answer (and if it is probably not universal) but the more I learn about the matter, the better I am doing
One thing I did to get there a little is to set this years new years resolutions to be and remain as a person:
friendly
merry
just
relaxed
social
And so far, over the past six months I have been doing well, with minor lows but more dreams and ideas who I want to be and how I want to live
Little by little I am moving forward 🌠

This week I went on an archery course with my parents and it led us through this meadow full of chirping cicadas. Time seemed to pass slower, my senses were heightened and after a long time I felt some sense of belonging. I felt awake and alive and content. This is one of the moments I want keep in my memory and cherish it 🏹🌿☀️
