My two grandmas are still alive and they literally couldn’t be more different people. 

My maternal grandma: is an evangelical Christian and has never smoked or drank alcohol. She’s always at church, wakes up at 5am every day, and never says a cuss word. She’s rather poor and lives in a very small apartment. She’s the sweetest woman alive.

My paternal grandma: is a Jewish alcoholic who leaves her bedroom at noon every day with a glass of wine. Per day she consumes two packs of cigarettes, a bottle of wine, and a few shots of rum as a treat throughout the day. She lives in a huge house that is only hers because she kicked my grandpa out after he cheated. She cusses like a sailor and to discipline her grandkids she drags us by the ears and calls us assfaces. She’s the best person I know

Villains in Addams Family movies go to really unnecessary lengths to defraud them of the family fortune. These people just give it away on whims all the time. If I just walked into the house and started wearing their clothes and spending their money, they wold start introducing me as Cousin Intruder and forget there was ever a time I didn’t live with them.

I love that Mr. Ratburn is gay married because 1.) I had no idea Arthur was still on and 2.) he was my favorite character as a kid because I was obsessed with the episode where Arthur and his friends are fully convinced that he’s a serial killer who murders children and uses their severed limbs to make corpse puppets for his marionette show.
