I created this blog to document my semester abroad in Pau, France. I also used it as an online collection of my writing and photos from an independent study project on medieval European pilgrimage.

I have finally finished queuing up all of my photos from this ISP. I apologize that it took so long, but thesis work called, and photos sort of dropped to the bottom of my list in favor of more immediate deadlines. Thank you to everyone that helped me with this project in anyway, and thank you all for waiting for the last of the photos. I had a lot of fun working on this project, and I learned a lot about traveling, about pilgrimage, and about how I probably shouldn't try to jam as much into a single month as I did here, since it's taken me so long to finish posting. I'm ridiculously grateful for this opportunity, and I guess this is the end of this blog. The final three church photo collections in the queue, and that will be it. Thanks for sticking with me.

Westminster Abbey, London, UK, May 2013. No photos allowed inside, except in the cloisters, unfortunately, so mostly external. It was super crowded, and the flow of the church, originally for pilgrims, was being put to good use by modern tourists.

Palais de Tau, Reims, France, May 2014. This is where they store most of the re-created coronation regalia. A lot of it was lost during the revolution and had to be remade for the Bourbon restoration. Some very lovely tapestries, and a great statue of Eve and the Serpent.
