To the man who first got my attention, Thank you! Thank you for crying (WIN Climax perf) -- although that was so excruciating to watch -- because you opened a door for me to get to know you more; your doused face made me want to research more about you. You have a strong visage and I thought you're not really the type to cry a lot, but I guess that's why the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" exists because of people like you. I never really expected you to bewail like a baby, so I was unmitigatedly shocked. Right then, I stared at your eyes and it was a beautiful hue of longing and hope, I knew I would like you and you would be my favorite. Thank you for being such a cry baby, believe me it's a good thing, for with that I get to know your heart and the people you value the most. Thank you for that unfeigned heart-wrenching yet hopeful performance because you beguiled me and magnetized me towards you, if it weren't for that I wouldn't have known such a great and awesome person like you. I'm always in awe with your perseverance, you're an epitome of auspiciousness. I know it's hard, I mean, your journey to stardom was far from being easy; others think that since you guys are from YG, your success was given to you on a silver platter, but no, you offered blood and sweat just to attain and achieve everything that you have now. You've been put into a lot of pressure, lambasted, reprimanded, derided, and some even made you feel like you're inadequate despite your fervent effort and profusion of sacrifices, but I'm so glad that you didn't let it change your personality as a whole. You still kept that inner child in you and you didn't let their castigations engulf and overrule your pure heart. I'm so proud of you for being one of iKON's pillars to success -- the hyung that's always been there for his dongsaengs and, well, to your hyungs too, whether they need an advice or someone who'll lighten and energize them. You've been a dependable person to them that you also emboldened them to achieve their dreams despite all the odds and detractors. Your assiduousness gave hope not only to your members, but also to us fans; you instilled into us that no matter what happens, even if it felt like the world's disintegrated, ashes cascading down to our feet, there's still hope as long as we keep moving forward and focus solely on our goals. You're now 22, the age of discombobulation and ardent search for one's purpose, I hope you don't keep all your worries within yourself -- I love you and I care for you, the last thing I want you to feel is depression -- so vent and share your problems to your brothers as much as you can. Let them help you, don't keep it in; remember, no man is an island. I hope through the test of time you won't lose the child in you, keep that cheerfulness and share it to others. You have a smile that can brighten up the whole universe, I don't want you to lose that. Also, I know, when it comes to work, you want to give the best and share good music with us, but your health is more important so, please, stay take care of yourself and don't forget to have fun along the way. I've never imagined myself extolling and loving a person this hard, I've always been a phlegmatic person so it's also hard for me to believe that I'm unconditionally supporting you and iKON. I guess I'm a changed girl because I know for sure that as long as you stay true to yourself and never stray away from the person that we all love I'll never leave your side. I'll always be there to support you, pulling you forward when you need a hand and cheering you on from behind. Keep breaking the stereotypes and cater them your charms. Lastly, cherish the friendship and brotherhood you have with your group. --Z

iKON has been a big part of my life, they’ve established a great spot in my heart. I battled depression through their music and the rigors they’ve been through; I mean, who wouldn’t extol a group of boys whose perseverance and assiduousness transcend any boundaries?

Seeing them break down, tears cascading from their eyes, dousing their precious faces always makes my heart swell with melancholia. Those days during Who Is Next (WIN), God knows how I wanted to caress them in my arms and incessantly apologize to them for not being able to make them win, to make them debut. It was hard, I despise seeing a single tear fall from their sparkling eyes. They deserve the world not because I love them, but because they are kind, reverent, and magnanimous; they care about others so much that they always put other people’s wellness than themselves – who would not love people like that?

Nonetheless, despite the excruciating pain of watching them pour their heart out because of not being able to grasp the dream that they’ve been working so eagerly to achieve, I’ve also seen them smile and laugh and those were one of the best memories of my life; their cachinnation and gaiety are my source of happiness – they are my cornucopia of bliss. I don’t know how they do it, but when they smile I feel like everything’s going to be alright; like having a sigh of relief after a day of chaos and havoc.

However, what got me the most, what made me clutch unto them like they’re my lifeline was how they persevere to reach their dream – those sleepless nights, those sweats dripping from their forehead down to the soles of their feet. It’s striking and refreshing to see people who are so passionate in what they do in a world flooded with people who are not even thankful of what they have. iKON is different, their undying zeal to give an impeccable performance and fervor to do the things that they love, it’s an understatement to call them “passion” themselves. They’ve inspired me to never give up on my dreams and showed me how to seize all the moments in life, including the disquietude of not knowing what lies ahead.

But iKON wouldn’t be here today without this one person and the other members’ sedulousness. He carried the team well and lead them to success. Unremitting utterance of words of gratitude couldn’t recompense the effort he poured for the team’s supernova. For me, he’s the adhering force of the team. The cohesiveness of iKON is from him – his leadership helped bind them. He was so young when the task was given to him, and I am still in awe on how he carried his responsibilities; it must’ve been difficult to carry a weight heavier than himself and a responsibility bigger than him, but without inveighs he executed his tasks well. He was stringent then, specially in the practice room, but it was just because he wanted the best for them and he didn’t want to let them down. He crusaded to change not only his life, but also the lives of his members, and I will be perpetually thankful for his existence. I remember crying a lot while watching the scene where he ran and stayed away from the members to have serenity for once. I remember how I wept upon seeing his despairing and crestfallen face while he was seated on a bench, embracing his solitude, because I know how it feels; I know how it feels to witness everything that you’ve worked for fall into an abyss. I know how it feels to see your dreams come crashing down in front of your eyes. And I know how it feels to desperately seek for isolation and find tranquility away from the discombobulation of reality. He must’ve ran away because he didn’t want his team to see him like that – like a lost boy, full of problems and bereaved from all the warmth in the world.

Hanbin-ah, your ample efforts were not put to vain. Look at you now, from team B to iKON; from a bunch of trainees, diligently working to debut, to power rookies who’ve inspired the lives of many. I am proud of you and will forever be proud of you. Your sublime leadership engendered iKON’s success. Again, I am utmost grateful for everything that you’ve done to the team, to us fans, and to the music industry. Don’t stray away from yourself and always remember your roots. Keep your heart free from evil. Always be magnanimous and kind-hearted like the Hanbin we fans know. You’re a prodigy, a force to be reckoned with. Thank you for breathing and for existing. I hope you’ll have a blast today. You deserve everything that the world can offer. I will stand by iKON’s side until my last breath, remember that. We fans will always have your back through thick and thin.
