I've had an idea in my head for a year now, I would call it Japanese folklore AU. I have a storyline and some scenes that I would like to write and draw for it.
In the main idea we have Sun, a saint kitsune, not at all with 9 tails, I'm leaning towards no more than 6 here for him.
Moon in this AU is a tengu! Not quite in the usual sense, but a hermit or an outcast among other tengu. It's okay, he wasn't really looking forward to being among the others there.
Eclipse is similar to Sun in some ways! I've only looked at the fanon one up to this point, but maybe that will change at some point haha.
So, he is a kitsune too! A field kitsune, to be precise. Not as good and not at all trying to be so compared to Sun. And I'm leaning towards Eclipse having 8 or 9 tails! That would mean a lot.
And so... Do we have a Reader, or an original character? I'd like to leave it open to interpretation, but I'm also not going to leave the MC pure and simple with no backstory.
So, they're nekomata! (Or bakuneko depending on how the story goes, but who they are is a pretty important thing to know.)
I don't want to give too much away, but through a series of events in the story, Sun and Moon (or Eclipse) take us under their wing as young supernaturals who may need some help and apprenticeship in this new world and life for them.
I want everyone to take into account that the Reader, like the other interpretations of the characters I have presented here, are NOT children. They are adult beings. Just as neither Eclipse, nor Sun, nor Moon are related by blood to each other, they are NOT brothers.
The story will likely feature romantic, platonic, and queerplatonic relationships.
I tried to spend as much time as possible on historical and folkloric data of Japan in order to achieve creative freedom in this regard... Some things just didn't fit right when reading what Japan was like, so I'm going into historical inaccuracy and a lot of changes that hey, it's probably not even the same Earth. Probably not.
Thanks to anyone who read this post, I'm looking forward to actually writing more about my idea and drawing designs for each of them.^^ (I'm not sure if I'll write about this on ao3, but I won't say for sure that it won't happen either.)

Everytime I see posts like this I get filled with such profound sadness
Cause you know who has the same brainrot as you? The same unhinged feelings as you after you've read the fic? The person who always wants to scream about the fic with you?
THE PERSON WHO WROTE IT
I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it's been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible
Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together

As you are slowly luring me into the dca fandom, I have question, if you wouldn't mind answering? Why is there so much y/n content in the fandom? All my other fandoms aren't really interested in y/n content (including isat) which makes me confused and delighted to see all these y/ns here?
Smiles at you
The thing about the DCA fandom is that it's a fandom very much spawned by a community. Some DCA content holds itself closer to Security Breach itself, while it becomes more clear in other works that the fans have created their own world amongst each other. Think of Undertale Multiverse. It's... Undertale, but the fans created something they liked, and thus it spawned a secondary fandom that's not just a subsection of Undertale but rather its own thing entirely.
The reason why you will see so much Y/N content in the DCA fandom more than any other fandom is that most of us have begun to see Y/N as a character, just like how UTMV has decided those Sanses all know each other. For many people in this fandom, Y/N doesn't feel like it's meant to actually represent YOU, but rather that they're a character all on their own with variety from artist to artist. It's also why Y/N content in this fandom is much more likely to have distinct features, clothing, and fleshed out personalities than in any other Y/N content. I have very very rarely seen a Y/N in this fandom to not be dressed up in an outfit just like any other character would be.
How the whole Y/N thing originated is that there was just simply very good fics springing up, people liked this character dynamic they could create for Sun and Moon that didn't exist within the game, it spread out into people's art, people wanted to see how they could change that dynamic to suit their own works... and it kept going. Until "Y/N" became just a character type. You'll actually find that most fics in the fandom or dialogue in comics don't even use the word Y/N, it's more a... term here, I suppose. Not always though, not always.
Of course, there will be variety in the fandom. Some don't even like Y/N, some prefer OCs, some aren't really interested in that at all, etcetera. But!!! As someone who's been here since the start to watch the growth of DCA, that's what I've gathered.
People in this fandom have always been so friendly.

Robots with extend-o arms that coil you into a tight hug.
Robots with a screen face that display a heart whenever you're around.
Robots who trust you to know where their power-off switch is located.
Robots who triple back-up the memories they forge when they're with you.
Robots who weren't quite built for love, but that didn't stop them from trying.
