Your Ephesus guide will meet you at Kusadasi Port or at your hotel in Kusadasi. The guide will be holding up a sign with your name on it. You will return to the bus through the Arcadian Way, where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession. *After the Ephesus visit, you will drive to Miletos, where flourished as an important commercial and governmental city from 700 BC to 700 AD. Its great theater, which rises from the flood plain of the Meander River, was built to seat 15,000 spectators and it is still seen. The city was the point where the Buyuk Menderes (Meander) flew into the Aegean sea. Because of the alluviums, Miletos has been remote several times from sea, which explains how one can see different harbours today. Miletos was also the city of many scientists and philosophers such as Thales, Anaximander, Hekataios (principle source to Herodotos) and closer to us, Isidorus, the architect of St. Sofia in Istanbul. You will see the Greco-Roman Theatre, The Lion Harbour, The Harbour Monuments, The  Bouleuterion (the parliment building), The Temple of Serapis, Faustina Bath. Then you will drive 20 minutes to Didyma to see the Temple Of Apollo. The visit of Apollo Temple, which was the biggest prophecy center in Anatolia. The temple belonged to Milesians. The first temple was Greek, but in 494 BC. when Persians destroyed Miletos they also destroyed their temple. Despite extensive construction, the temple was never fully completed again. Afterwards, you drive back to Kusadasi Harbour or your hotel in Kusadasi.
