FREEEEDDDDOOOOMMMM! This bald eagle is sitting on top of one of the Dunedin cell towers. They eat fish, ducks, snakes, turtle, buns, and will sometimes eat dead animals. This bald eagle next is just above a nest of monk/quaker parakeets (which are definitively the most annoying birds in the world). I have serious questions about this guy's choice of nest location. Other interesting things you may not know - all those bald eagle calls you hear on TV (think, Colbert Report) are actually red-tailed hawks. Bald eagles sound like nervous, warbley grandmothers. Doesn't this mom look like she's smiling? Muscovy Ducks are one of the oldest domesticated bird species in the world. They were kept by native people in Peru as far back as 1555 and were traded to England and France. The Aztecs wore cloaks made from their feather and considered them the tom animal of the Wind God, Ehecatl. They have claws on their feet and will next in trees. They will eat insects, grasses, spiders, mangrove seeds, small fish and reptiles. Cooper's Hawk - immature. They live in wooden habitats from deep forests to leafy subdivisions and backyards. This guy was in Hammock Park. They eat smaller birds and sometimes rob nests. They will also eat chipmunks, buns, mice, squirrels, and sky puppies. As he gets older he will get a bluish-gray upperpart and a dark cap. https://ift.tt/2WtH6qe

Forbidden love. Usually cats and raccoons don't get along - these two have been fed together for years. (not by me). The raccoon specifically tolerates just the black cats in the area and will run off any new cats. They all wait their turn to eat and seem fairly polite about it. #trashpanda https://ift.tt/2UuH3rH
