So.... I’ve been taking some pictures to introduce you all to the Sim I was talking about in my previous post and there’s this really annoying error/glitch-thing on his eyes that kinda ruins some of the pictures. I had noticed it in selfies he had taken but hadn’t really thought anything of it, but with a closer view of his face it was really REALLY noticable and it’s bugging me something rotten! So I did a little bit of investigating and it seems like his eyes are definitely broken.

(I shrunk his pupils to show the glitch better. He doesn’t usually look so intense)!

Changing eye color, eye shape and skin color made no difference in the glitch, however....

Changing him from a male Sim to a female Sim made the glitch disappear.

So I merged in a couple of other Sims I had made (1 female & 1 male), and as you can see, they aren’t affected by the glitch either. It’s very frustrating!!!

Does anyone have any idea what it is or if/how it can be fixed?!

Hi everyone. I’m still alive & I’m actually still playing the Sims but it would seem that I’ve neglected this poor little space of mine. Long story short, my computer wasn’t behaving and so I had to format it which meant I lost all my old saves, sims and builds. Then I had an SSD installed and I had to install everthing anew on that which meant starting over... AGAIN!

I’ve finally got sims made, buildings in the process of being built and I’m enjoying it. I’m playing a colab alphabet legacy with my dear friend @secretgeeked and I have a sim I adore. In fact, he’s the reason I’m actually here again. I’d love to share him with everyone because I do KINDA have a story in mind for him and, as I’ve mention, I love him!! He’s my baby <3 :P However, I’m clearly not very good at keeping stories going, so I’ll probably just be sharing pictures of his adventures and mishaps and just hope that everyone enjoys seeing him as much as I am playing him.

Anywho, we’ll see how it goes.

Hi. Welcome. Nice to meet you.

My name is Lottie and I am returning to the Simblr world after a very long hiatus; so long in fact that I had deleted my account completely because I thought I would never actually return. But here we are!! And it’s good to be back!

So why did I leave? Because, without going into too much depressing detail, I was trying to do too much and I wanted everything I was doing to be good enough for people to enjoy! I put too much pressure on myself and it just got too much. I ended up falling into a bit of a rut and I really wasn’t happy for a while; I didn’t have the energy or enjoyment to even play the game, let alone make posts about it.

I felt guilty for not posting on a regular basis and I even tried to force myself into a return which kind of made the entire situation worse. I just wasn’t ready.

Why have I returned? Because I’ve missed it. I miss sharing my Sims antics and stories, I miss seeing what everyone else is posting and I miss the people. Also because I think the people who follow me on Twitter are fed up of me posting my pics there... I’ve kind of been using it as a Tumblr alternative :\ But, now that I’m feeling better in myself and I’ve found enjoyment in the game again, I felt it was time for me to try again!

Things will have to change though! For my own state of mind and wellbeing more than anything; so that I can continue to enjoy both the game and my experiences here. *I’m not going to force myself to have a schedule. I’ll post if/when I want to and I feel that there’s something worth posting about. I’m going to take this casual and try and see it as a place of enjoyment; a hobby! *I’m not going to pile up the projects like last time! I’m going to stick to doing a couple of things (max) at a time and not stress myself and worry if I leave things incomplete. I’m a gaming grasshopper and often jump from one game to another before returning back to something. I’ve always been like this... I just take enjoyment from more than just the Sims and I don’t think that should be something that leads to the downfall of my Simblr.

In conclusions: I’m going to take things at my own pace and just have fun with it! No more stressing, no more worrying and no more trying to do things just because I think it’ll please people. This is my own space for my own amusement and if other people enjoy it too, then that’s an amazing bonus! Although I loved what I was doing on my old account and I’m going to miss the sims I shared and the stories they had, I’m going to put that all in the past and move on.

And with all that said... I’m just happy to be here again :)
