MacDonald "Mac" Gargan was born to a very poor, unloving family. He managed to get by by hiding from the bigger things and taking advantage of the smaller ones. When his sister was born, he decided that this had to change.
Instead of barely scraping in his life together, he would scrape up other people's and exchange the information for money. He saved this money to make sure that he and his sister would be safe. When his father found out that he was keep money to himself, he was furious and gave Mac an ultimatum: give up all the money and all that was to come, or get out.
Mac chose to leave. He was only 10 then, and he despised what he was made to do, but he did it anyway. He would continue his work to keep himself steady until he was about 25, when he became an official private investigator.
He investigated everything and everyone. He did not care who asked or what this information was used for, as long as he was paid for his services. He committed several crimes, but using his extensive knowledge of how to avoid detection, he always got away with it. He'd been able to make a name for himself with this knowledge and skills, being known as skillful and trustworthy to those who many not be as much.
This put him on the radar of one Mr. Tombstone, who hired him to investigate a very special target: Spider-Man. Mac, not one to turn down a job, took it up almost immediately. He'd been curious about the web-slinger himself, but had always been busy with other jobs and could never do his own work. But now, things were quite different.
But they weren't really. For, you see, there wasn't exactly much to know about Spider-Man. He seemed to have no family, no home, no real identity. Once he was gone past the roofs of the city there was no tracking him, no potential persons that could be his real identity. Reluctantly, Mac had to return his very little findings back to his employer.
They met in an abandoned warehouse storing various items to be sold at a later date. His employer was, of course, not very happy with the information presented to him.
Tombstone attacked him, and Mac attempted to run. He was caught off guard and thrown into some crates, which knocked over two things: a barrel of unlabeled chemicals and a crate of deadly scorpions.
The waste dissolved Mac and the scorpions into essentially a pile of sludge. Over time, the goo began to reform and harden into a sort of chrysalis. A week after the chrysalis had formed, it began to hatch, and from deep within emerged a new Mac Gargan.
He had grown significantly, now standing at 7'5(226 cm). His skin was covered in a rather thin and bumpy exoskeleton, appearing as though slightly tinted green. There was a second, functional pair of eyes under his initial two, and his ears were flattened more against his head, extended and coming to a sharp point. His legs were segmented, and his digits had melded into three on each limb. He had also grown a thick scorpion tail, and large fangs.
When he had finally realized that he was still alive, he had begun to panic, stuck inside the dim fluid of the chrysalis. He managed to claw himself out of the thick yet fragile walls, happily taking in the air of the world. He very quickly realized the new form that he had taken, and was less than pleased to discover he was not quite human.
He made his way out of the empty warehouse and into the streets of the city to try to find anyone who could help. He soon found out that he could no longer speak, only clicks being able to vocalize from his throat. The general people of New York did not take very kindly to this new disturbance of their life, which only seemed to scare him more. He was able to attack some civilians in defense, learning that the venom stored in his tail was quite paralytic, before he was able to scurry back off into the alleys.
He took refuge in a building under repair, trying to figure out his situation. A disturbance behind him caught his immediate attention, causing him to spin around in defense, positioned on all fours with his tail curled up and his teeth snarled. What met him was a certain wall crawler, offering only sympathy and understanding to the man.
Though the Spider couldn't understand Mac, Mac could understand him, and accepted his offer for potential help and rehabilitation. Though it was a struggle, Spider-Man was able to safely escort Mac to the docs.
The previous residents of this little safe haven were a little thrown off by the scorpion man, mostly due to his height. Mac decided that crawling was the better option for him, not only because it would lower his height significantly but also because it was more comfortable in the long run.
The science team quickly realized that whatever had happened to Mac was a bit irreversible, as it had entirely changed his DNA. Though there was nothing that could be done, Mac was safer staying with them. Adapting was difficult, but eventually Mac was able to settle into the team. Writing was hard for Mac, who now only had three fingers on each hand, but with a few communication cards and charades, understanding him became easy enough. Things like body language and pitch/general tone of clicks also played a part in communication.
It was not a very easy adjustment, but with work, it was possible.

Tumblr media
Maxie "Max" Dillon was an average woman before her incident. She grew up in roughly the exact middle of the middle class. Her parents worked hard to support themselves, but they did not sacrifice their relationships for this venture. She did well enough in school, and though sometimes a grade would slip, she passed all of her classes.
Ever since a young age, she had been interested in electricity. She found it an incredibly interesting subject, and poured lots of her time into researching the topic, which her parents fully supported. When she was able to make it into college, she pursued this electrical career, and wound up as an electrician.
All of her life, she considered herself sociable. She never had so many friends she couldn't count them on one hand, but she was always able to click with people that she didn't know well. She was by no means a popular gal, but she was never made to feel like an outcast. But when she received a job at Oscorp, things seemed to change.
It was hard to stay in touch with friends and family because of how long and hard she worked, maintaining so many parts of such a big building. She became briefly acquainted with a few of the scientists that she would encounter regularly, but that was about it. The job was tiresome and labor intensive, but it paid rather well and she was able to learn a lot from listening to the scientists as she did her thing.
Adrian Toomes was one of the scientists that she wound up spending a lot of time with, as his field required a lot of electricity. They were able to consider each other friends, though they didn't get the chance to spend much time out of work. Neither spent long away from work anyways.
One day, Max was needed for maintenance near a project including electric eels. Something about harnessing the bioelectricity from eels, she would find out. Though she was not working specifically near the eel tank, she found herself more and more interested in the experiment, asking more and more questions as she worked.
It was an experiment proposed by the late Dr. Curtis Connors, an ex-biochemist who worked for Oscorp before leaving due to unknown circumstances and wound up dead almost a year later. Oscorp had finally decided to take up the project, but hadn't entirely prepared for the amount of power needed to keep it running. Which is where Max comes in, to fix issues caused by the experiment that was affecting other technology.
Once the maintenance was done, Maxie began to move on, needing to work on something else upstairs. While making her way up, the railing gave way, and Max found herself immersed in the water of the eel tank. Very quickly, she became unconscious.
When she awoke, she found herself inside of a body bag, simply discarded in an alley behind the Oscorp building. As se attempted to free herself, she found her skin burning a hole through the bag. Her hands were alight, glowing and burning with raw electricity. As she continued to wake up fully, soon her whole body was electrified. And it burned terribly.
Every nerve, every inch of skin was tingling and sizzling with electricity. She was in immense pain, but it very quickly numbed out. She wasn't entirely sure what was happening, but she sure as hell wasn't going to sit around the discards of the sidewalk.
She made her way into Times Square, mindlessly following the feeling of power that was all around her. She could feel it, and there was a small feeling inside of her to shut it all off. It was wildly overstimulation, to feel the buzz of electricity everywhere around her, and she wanted it gone.
Of course, she didn't mean to hurt anyone. Her emotions had simply boiled up and exploded in sparks. Literally. A panic began to settle over Times Square, and though she tried very hard to calm the situation, it only seemed to escalate.
Soon there were police arriving on the scene, and they attempted to control the situation. They only amped up the panic in both civilians and Max, which only continued to worsen the situation. Finally, one friendly arachnid appeared on the scene.
Max tried to plead with him, and Spider-Man also began to help calm the situation by convincing her that she needed to be calm and cooperative, or else bad things out of either of their control could happen. Maxie was very receptive to this, finding herself able to cool down her emotions. Then, a shot rang out, piercing her left shoulder. It only pierced through her clothing, phasing through her electrified body easily, but the damage was done.
Max was very angry at the policeman who had fired the shot, directing all of her attention to the marksman and his colleagues. Though Spider-Man attempted to control the situation with all his might, it had gotten way out of control.
Maxwell lashed out angrily, absorbing electricity from the square and directing all of that power into attacking the one who had attacked first. After several minutes of back and forth, he accidentally struck Spider-Man. This gave her a moment of clarity, and she realized that she was unintentionally harming innocent people by trying to get the one officer. In regret, she disappeared into the powerlines.
Desperately, Spidey tried to track her down. Eventually, in a secluded place far from the damage that had been caused, Max emerged in her electrical state. She met the arachnid eye-to-eye, and Spider-Man was able to offer her help.
She was able to settle into the warehouse group easy enough, but she felt rather secluded. She had to be careful how she interacted with the warehouse, because she could burn and fry anything just by grazing it. On the other hand, she was able to provide the warehouse power.
The solution that the science squad came up with was a device that drain her excess electricity and put it into batteries. They cycled between three batteries at all times, using one to power things, one as a backup, and one to drain her. It was not a very effective fix, but it controlled her electricity by a lot.
She still produced it, but she could touch things if they were protected, and could briefly touch things that weren't. In addition, she was with some scientists who could now talk to her about their fields as long as they wanted, which she was infinitely happy about. She could also explain electricity to them, if they were willing to listen.

Doctor Octopus
Tumblr media
Otto Octavius had a generally rough upbringing. His father was rather absent, and if he was physically present then he was emotionally absent. His father often paid the rest of the family no mind. His mother loved him a lot, but could only do so much for him. She feared her husband more than she loved him, a fact that Otto has been forever bitter about.
He found an escape in sciences, often spending his time in libraries and on computers learning as much as he could. This sparked his interest in physics, rather specifically nuclear physics. Unfortunately, this made him a target for bullying. The bullying drove him more to his escapism, which in turn, only made the bullying worse. A vicious cycle, truly.
He continued to learn all sorts of physics, becoming smart enough to graduate early and get a scholarship to the best college that he could. He used this scholarship to escape from home, as he had grown tired of it. Otto cut all contact with his family when he went to college. He often wondered about his mother, but he knew that speaking to her risked bringing in his father, and he hated him more than he loved her, a fact that he realized makes him a hypocrite, but cannot help, and for that he is bitter.
He became a nuclear physicist with a knowledge of engineering to pair. After Otto graduated, he went to work for Oscorp, a company crated by his college best friend. He worked on various projects at Oscorp, including the Orion Project. He was close friends with Curtis Connors and Adrian Toomes, two scientists in varying fields that he interacted with a lot. Though his connection to Adrian loosened with the Orion Project, it remained very much in tact.
After that project went up in literal flames, Otto had lost his partner. To combat this, he began to work on mechanical actuators that were controlled completely by the mind. They attached to the spine and nerves for ease of control and use.
The top two actuators were used to grabbing. They were slim and had a resistant camera in the center of their "hands" that linked to goggles for easier use. The bottom two were used for a sturdy support, built for raising Otto and attaching onto structures.
As he was finalizing his personal project, Norman entered his lab and and told him to focus on more important things. They got into a heated argument and, against his many many protests, Norman shut the power to the actuators. This was the worst possible thing that could have been done.
The improper removal of power caused the actuators to fry, fusing to his body and nervous system. The shock causes him to collapse, and he appeared dead. Norman had his body thrown out the back.
When Otto came to, something was very, very wrong. His mind had been severely split, fractured and repossessed through his actuators. The anger, pain, and betrayal that had occurred in the moment of power separation broke free of his mind and went to the actuators that were linked to it. Rather than full sentience, it is the sentience of his own mind, placed into each side of his actuators.
Still attached to his mind, they influenced and took partial control of it. As they are only capable of feeling the need for revenge, that is what they sought, controlling Otto's own body to move towards that goal. They were violent and filled with rage, seeking out Osborn to kill him, or perhaps something else, but mostly kill.
Spider-Man intervened before any serious damage can be done, and he is able to talk Otto through the haze of the actuator's control. Once Otto regained consciousness, he did not feel right. The anger that he felt was not the only thing fractured. His brain was entirely scattered. His memory was weak, hazy, and missing pieces. Every part of his body hurt, and he had a constant headache. He plead for Spider-Man to help him. He did, bringing him to the warehouse that he'd brought Flint Marko.
Spidey gave Otto a look-over and came to the conclusion that there wasn't much to be done. The technology was fused into basically every part of him, and the only way to really fix him was a surgery they couldn't possibly do. The next best thing was to keep surveillance on him and keep him constantly grounded into reality, and therefore in control of himself.
This was, very unfortunately, the best option that they had, so that is what they stuck with. Over time, Otto's mind would continue to deteriorate. He was constantly tired and drained, and he was mostly losing a sense of control and what was real. The actuators were a constant voice in his head. Because they were split from his consciousness, they held his voice. He grew less and less able to determine what were his own thought and what were the voices of his creations.
He became what seemed like a very soft old man, constantly lost in his own space trying to determine if he is himself or not. It is a vicious battle, and his mental state had suffered significantly from the constant fight, but he was still incredibly intelligent. And, with the close group formed in that warehouse, he would be alright enough.

The Lizard
Tumblr media
Curtis Connors had always been interested in biology and DNA. He pushed himself into learning as much as he could about the topic throughout his school years, ending in him getting doctorates in biochemistry and biology. In college he met Martha Ramirez, who was also earning a doctorate in biology. He also made friends in the medical field and learned many things from them. He and Martha began a relationship, becoming almost inseparable. Martha began teaching at the college they met at a few years after graduation while Curt went on to work for a company called Oscorp.
At Oscorp, Curt used his knowledge for many things. Projects that he was able to start include harvesting electricity from eels, the transfer of a human consciousness into a machine, and most notably the Orion Project, among many others. He quickly moved up in ranks throughout his years working there, becoming well acquainted with two mechanical scientists, Otto Octavius and Adrian Toomes. He and Otto were the more high-ranking of the trio, but the three of them were close friends nonetheless.
When the Orion Project began, Otto and Curt became more distant with Adrian due to the nature of the work they were doing. A few years into the Orion Project, Martha fell pregnant with Billy. Curt contemplated quitting his job to spend more time with his family, but he did not.
When the Orion Project went terminal, however, he didn't quite have a choice. The incident left him an amputee, having lost majority of his right arm. With this compromise in his work, Norman Osborn released him immediately, threatening him to keep him quiet about the Orion Project. Curt was eventually able to pick up work with his wife at the college, working as her classroom second. This was very beneficial to her, as now that there was another hand on the job, she could get far more done in the class.
While working at the college, Curt had the idea for another project: limb restoration. Though he knew that there were better sources for animal regeneration, lizard DNA was what was available to him in the college, so that is what he used. He spent months perfecting an injectable serum and a reversing agent in the case that anything went wrong. When he felt that everything was ready, he went into the college after hours to finally perform his experiment.
He removed his ring before injecting himself, feeling like he was somehow betraying his wife by keeping this experiment a secret from her. After a few moments passed, something finally began to happen. His arm had begun to regrow itself from the flabby skin that he had in place of an arm.
The joy of it working quickly turned into fear as that arm that had just grown began peeling itself back, revealing scaly skin underneath. The transformation began to quicken, and he reached for the reversing agent to undo his mistake, but when he injected it into himself, it didn't work. The fear and confusion he had from this realization caused the change to come by much faster.
When he came to, he was in the sewers. His clothing was loose, stretched, and slightly torn as it hung loosely upon his body. Every part of his body hurt and ached, and there was a strong taste of blood in his mouth. The skin on the right side of his body, the one that he had injected into and needed regrowing, was covered in thick scales. The arm stump itself was now slightly longer, prompted by the earlier growth.
Behind him was none other than Spider-Man, approaching him cautiously. Curt desperately begged to know what happened, and Spidey explained that he had been a big lizard monster and was going crazy. Curt cried about not being able to return now, and Spider-Man offered to bring him to his little "rehabilitation center". They returned to the college lab briefly to grab what they can, needing to leave before the police arrive, and Curt is only able to grab his ring and his notes.
Though the serum did not work initially, with some major adjustments Curt is able to get it to do at least something. Though it does not work as intended, it did suppress his reptilian counterpart. He gives himself a does daily, or else the scales will spread on their own. When he begins transforming again, he gives himself more doses until it goes away. It is an unpleasant experience for absolutely everyone involved.
He spends his time in the warehouse trying to fix himself, tending to Spider-Man's wounds, trying to help Flint Marko, or grieving the life that he used to have. Though he doesn't enjoy it a whole lot, he lets himself become fatherly to the web-slinger who helped him, reconnecting with old friends along the way.

Sandman
Tumblr media
Flint Marko was what would be considered an average criminal. He grew up in a loving but poor household, an only child to a single father. Against his father's wishes, he taught himself how to steal just to get by. His dad passed when he was 17, ad that's when he moved into a bigger city for a better shot. For stealing, of course, he did not have money for a life of his own.
Though the two didn't know each other too well, Flint and another criminal named Alex O'Hearn would often team up for heists. If they were ever caught, Flint would usually take the heat for Alex. Alex had many warrants out for their arrest, so it was less risky this way. Flint would play stupid most times, leading him to lighter sentences. That didn't matter as Alex would usually break him out anyways.
One day, in an escape from the cops, Flint led the police away from Alex and their score into an Oscorp testing site. After a near successful escape from police, he ended up falling into one of the testing areas: a big pit of sand used for particle accelerator testing. The cops had officially lost him, but the sand does not allow him up. He is stuck.
After many attempts to get out, the machine turned on, further prompting his escape. He was not able to in time. He was fused with the sand particles around him, giving him and moldable and indestructible body.
He decided to use this newfound power for more criminal activities. He got away with the first few, but then he encountered one friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and his match had seemingly been met. In the chaos, alone and surrounded by the rubble of their fight, Flint admitted that he didn't really know what happened to him, and that it scared him. Spidey offered him a chance at rehabilitation, but Flint refused, slinking away in all his sandy might.
After roughly a month of contemplation and self-reflection, Flint went back to who he was. Though he never got caught, he did always get stopped. As months went by, he could feel something inside of him changing. He felt like he was losing himself more and more, becoming less human. This caused him to go to Spider-Man and ask for help, because he didn't know what was happening to him.
Spidey took him to an abandoned warehouse on the harbor, a place that has been completely cleared out an deserted for years. Spidey admitted that Flint was the first person to actually take him up on his offer, so he's kind of alone here, but he'd certainly try his best. Spidey also admitted to being somewhat of a little thief himself, needing to steal old and discarded equipment because he is unable to obtain anything new.
Using this equipment, they were able to learn that Flint was, well, dying. His body couldn't hold itself together, and was slowly becoming nothing but sand. It still clung together when Flint moved, but his body was essentially no longer any part human. Spidey assured him that it may take a while, but a cure was possible.
Over time, they are able to acquire 2 more scientists who all tried to work on a cure. Nothing they did worked, but they did not give up hope. Flint, however, had begun to feel like he wasn't even alive. He had remained in a human form to prolong his life, but his skin was starting to turn to sand uncontrollably. They were running out of time. Flint sat on a beach chair inside of an inflatable kiddie pool watching TV most of the time, as he was unable to do much else. The pool collected whatever sand falls, the chair helps preserve his energy. TV was for his enjoyment.
Finally, they made what they believe is the final cure. Flint was near his end, hardly responsive, but this cure was turning his sand into blood, meaning that it was working. They gave him the cure, and it seemed to work. He was human again, full skin and bone and muscle. Celebrations began to go around, but it did not last. Spidey noticed that their initial tests had turned back into sand. It was not a permanent solution.
Though it was devastating, Flint was not too sad about it. He could already feel it. His final request was to be let go into the ocean, to become one with the sand of the world; one with the cycle of nature and the sea. Everyone got to say their goodbyes and get their closure. Flint went out to sit out on the dock and watch the stars as he felt himself dissolve into sand for the final time.
The Sandman dies, surrounded by friends he never thought he'd get to have in a way he never imagined could happen. He is content with himself, and though he holds some regret, that is all he needs. He dies knowing that he is loved and will return to the world, and he is content.
Some of his sandy remains were bottled up like ashes in an urn. They meant a lot to everyone who knew him, and stood for all the people who would continue to join them.

The Tags Masterpost
This is the guide to the tags that I use. This includes both important and unimportant or unrelated stuff.
This post should not update much, but know that it might. I don't know the exact direction that this blog is going to go or how the story and characters will unravel here, so I may need to change things around for ease of access.
#previous works is the tag for stuff that I did for this universe before it was... well, this universe. Art and information from my main blog that I posted as a general idea, pretty much, from before I decided to go all in
#responses is the tag I use for responding to asks. This is only for general questions that may not be related to Earth-390 stuff or may not be super important, such as clarifications about certain things.
#390 responses is the tag I use for responding to asks that are important to the world of Earth-390. This includes images and long text posts going into detail about what someone may want to know.
#earth 390 is the general tag that I'll use for posts relating to.... well, Earth-390. This includes all of it, from the silly stuff to the important stuff, and even the asks. This doesn't, however, include reblogs.
#character sheet is the tag for character sheets and other general information. All links to these can be found through the main masterpost.
#reblogs is probably the most straightforward tag. This does not include reblogging my own posts.
#self re is the tag for reblogging my own posts, whether to add more to the original post or just to bump the post back up.
Characters will be tagged accordingly. If a character is vaguely present but is not important to the post, they will be excluded from the tags. This will likely never happen, but it may.

Tumblr media
like a pocket staff! how? idk, just does
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i also reworked how his powers functioned bc i thought that they could be better
Tumblr media
- can levitate objects within a certain radius
- can only pick up what he could physically
- the weight doesn't add up, but holding multiple things can be straining
and then here's just some extra stuff :)
Tumblr media
"Wonder how I'll cause problems today?"
Tumblr media
"Could you not just levitate Spider-Man away?" "Where's the fun in that?" "...could you get yourself out of here?" "Where's the fun in that?!"

My AU version of mysertio :p
he has some minor magical abilities, such as controlling smoke and steam for illusions and weak levitation control, but still uses technology most of the time! his costume also resembles that of a jester, so he can play the endings of a battle off at any time as simply an act. if he loses, then it's because he's supposed to, as a jester/as the fool. if he wins, it's some inspiring story of an underdog. either way, he is always victorious in the end, even if he really isn't.
Tumblr media
More info under cut:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- can manipulate steam or smoke to make illusions
- has minor levitation magic but can only levitate one thing at a time, only a small distance, and only if he has touched it before [it also has to be in his line of sight, and after a period of time he loses any affect on it. I simply forgot to write that down]
Tumblr media
button on belt; when pressed produces smoke for him to manipulate
Tumblr media
- based off of a jester
- both eyes usually not present on helmet
- when present, the eyes take a shape that makes them appear to have eyeliner

mmmm ok so I've never explained this sort of au that I have but like basically it's a "rehabilitation" au where, instead of fighting the villains and realizing maybe something could've been done after their dead/jailed and it's too late, Spidey seeks to help them as soon as he can, even if that help may be really hard to get
~~~
Mac Gargan is a private investigator who often deals with some shady people, but he never asks questions and just gets the job done.
Some criminals want info on the infamous Spider-Man and hire him to find what he can, but when he turns up with basically nothing they get angry.
Though I haven't entirely fleshed out the reasons behind everything happening the way it does, it involves a bunch of toxic chemicals, scorpions, Mac, and the three happening to end up together.
The chemicals break Mac and the scorpions down like acid into a thick, green sludge. Over a few hours, the sludge pulls itself together and forms a sort of chrysalis. After a few more hours, the chrysalis begins to break, and out pops Gargan, reformed into what he thinks is a terrible monster.
He tries to find someone, anyone who could help him, but because of the way he looks and the transformation making him unable to speak, he is met with severe resistance by the people of NY, and especially the police.
On the run, he happens upon one Spider-Man, who offers to try helping him. He takes him to an abandoned warehouse so that he is safe and away from anyone who might be after him.
Though Mac is very on edge and incredibly scared of what's happened to him, he isn't truly hostile. He lashes out a little in fear, but once calmed does not pose a threat to anyone.
Because he cannot speak, and has trouble writing, he can't explain how he got the way he did, and is therefore unable to be given aid. Though, even if he could, there's no real way to reverse being entirely broke down and reformed with completely new DNA from chemicals, so he's stuck the way he is no matter what.
He adjusts well enough to his new normal, and is quick to act as he normally would: being a little shit. The only difference is he can kill someone easily now.
His stinger can shoot/inject a toxin similar to what he'd reformed in(which is very corrosive). He also has enhanced strength, speed, and agility, and his skin is coated in a thin and hard but flexible layer if exoskeleton, making him resistant to most forms of attack with just his body. Also he has two sets of eyes. I don't have a reason for not just giving him one, it just looked cool.
a silly old octopus 😋
planning to make a blog for in-depth lore about my silly guys so i won't go into him too much, but I'll give the general run down 👍
Otto worked at Oscorp for several several years. after one particular project went wrong, Otto decided to build actuators to help himself a bit more. during testing, Norman shut down the experiment midway. that caused many many things to go wrong, and Otto's mind was split through the actuators still attached to his mind and nervous system.
the actuators gained sentience through his own and speak direcrly to his mind using his own voice. they took the thoughts and feelings he had at the moment that it happened, so they are very determined to kill Osborn out of revenge. sometimes, they can convince him and will take control, but most times, Otto is just mentally fighting them off.
because of how draining it is, he's practically become a shell of who he has once been. he constantly stares off into space, and his memory has slowly deteriorated. he's essentially just a very old man, despite only being around late 30s to early 40s.
