I am so lucky. The past year has been so difficult and so wonderful somehow all on one. I just accepted a job with the Nevada Department of Wildlife for the summer, I'm graduating, and Bryan and I starting to seriously look at where we're moving next. It's difficult not having the one person who was proudest of me around to call and talk to about all of the big things that are happening, but I know that hearing about all of it would make him smile, and that's all I can ask for.

concept: me, drinking coffee in a café in a foreign country. it’s raining outside. i’m reading my favorite book. everything is okay, and i’m never stressed.

It's really weird to think that before we met each other, neither of us believed in committing to one person for the rest of our lives. When you thought about your future, you saw yourself single, chasing your aspirations, burying yourself in your work and the things you loved. When I saw myself, I saw myself single, chasing my aspirations, burying myself in the next thing I found myself passionate about. We didn't believe in marriage, in settling down, in sharing our lives with someone other than the temporary relationships that stumbled in and out of our lives. But then you meet that one person that makes you question that maybe you do want that, you want to chase your aspirations and bury yourself in what you love, but now it includes somebody by your side. We're using words that we never even believed in and it's absolutely terrifying, but that's okay because, you know, sometimes terrifying is good.
