i'm putting my vote on yes but more accurately i land 50/50. i agree pretty wholeheartedly with coelii and rain-element, and the only reason i'm voting yes is that most of the time, currently, i find myself enjoying the fact i am trans. the process was and is still very painful, though, in ways i don't know if i'll be free of anytime soon. that said, obviously the grass is always greener on the other side; the validity of many cis women is challenged daily, and being trans has had the wonderful side effect of making me far more cognizant of the ways in which that occurs and the many potential paths forward, and has impacted every area of my life so much that i would be an entirely different person had i been born cis. i just wish it didn't have to be the way that it did for me to arrive at myself.
i asked my friend recently if it remembered when i gave him the button test*, and if he would give the same answer (yes, press the button) as now. he said no, that it had grown to love the process of change. he asked me if my answer had changed, as a joke, because my answer had always been noncommittal (i'd been in denial for 8 years and always said "the button test doesn't work for me" because i always came up with reasons to say no). i told him it hadn't really changed at all, but that the reasoning was different now. the above illustrates pretty exactly my thoughts.
*the button test, if you don't know: "if you were alone on a deserted island and had everything you needed to live happily/comfortably, and there was a button there that would magically switch your body to that of the opposite gender, would you press it?" -- a pretty easy way to crack someone's egg

I went by a burger king today and they had an AI taking orders. This is the first time I've seen this.
It didn't work, though.

Everybody loves that “I never thought the leopards would eat my face” meme but if you actually talk to the people who voted for the leopards-eating-faces party and then had their face eaten by leopards, most of them are just like “Okay, but if you look at the statistics a lot of people’s faces were eaten during previous regime as well”, or “The leopards only ate my face because of unrelated social problems we inherited from the prior government”, or “My face wasn’t actually eaten by leopards, you need to stop getting your news from biased media sources” or “Sure, voting for this party means that leopards ate my face, but have you seen the other guys?”

“Hear me out”s are a losing game. You are better off betting your life savings on a single game of poker. You can’t do a meaningful hear me out, it isn’t possible. The very nature of the internet is people lowkey trying to come across as “I Have Seen Fucked Up Things In My Time” experts and survivors. Anything that can threaten to put a crack in that fragile ego will immediately be shot down. “Hear me out”s aren’t regular statements, they are challenges, you are trying to come across as someone with Higher Fetish Power than others, which directly clashes with someone’s I Have Seen Fucked Up Things In My Time-fu. No one will ever admit to have a less esoteric fetish or kink than others. Not on the internet.
“Hear me out”s say something about the shooter: They too want to Have Seen More Fucked Up Things, and not only have they normalized it, they get off on it. They usually append “cowards” to the “hear me out” because it is a statement of me > you. The most annoying kind of person, in the most annoying arena, challenging you to the most annoying duel. The best counter is to shoot it down because that has no counter in this context: They already showed their hand, you can simply call it a bad hand and win.
“Hear me out”s are self-destruction. Your “hear me out” could have been a link and a “this is hot”. You willingly chose the losing battle when it would have taken less effort to not lose. “Hear me out” is not about your “hear me out” ultimately, it’s about you thinly veiled with something else. Sun Tzu warned you about this.

HEY GUYS!!
GUYS!!!
FRANCE HAS REACHED THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF SIGNATURES ON THE CITIZEN'S INITIATIVE AGAINST CONVERSION THERAPY IN THE EU!!
ONE COUNTRY DOWN, SIX TO GO!!
We also need still quite a few signatures in order to reach the one million required.
As to date, the six other countries with the most signatures are:
Spain - 38.72%
Finland - 30.31%
Ireland - 24.86%
Netherlands - 24.15%
Germany - 23.54%
Belgium - 23.09%
So yeah, still a long way to go, but we ARE slowly getting closer. Don't stop now! Don't let this stay within the community, either, if you have any friends or family who are open to queer rights, get them to sign, too!

the thing is that being fat - much like being transgender and being autistic - is awesome right up until the moment you have to exist in a society that doesn't particularly want you to be there

This is an important lesson in how propaganda works. By saying they were fired for "sexually explicit" conversations, it's establishing that things related to being trans or queer- like discussing hormones or pronouns, both of which are things that are actually in the chat- are pornographic and explicit. It's treating any sort of queer identity discussion as sexual content.
Now, follow the math on this. When they convince people that talking about anything related to being trans is pornographic (see page 5 of Project 2025) and that exposing children to it should be registered as a sex offender (same paragraph of Project 2025), and then later says that the death penalty should be applied to people convicted of "particularly heinous crimes involving violence and sexual abuse of children" (page 554 of Project 2025), do you understand how this is the first step towards criminalizing any sort of discussion of being transgender and where they're laying the groundwork for killing people over it?
