Wild wildfires in Devon.
https://www.radioexe.co.uk/news-and-features/local-news/amber-wildfire-alert-for-devon/
This was a spare of the moment story I spotted from an email from Devon and Cornwall Police. I was on my day off and it was during a heatwave in 2021 so I saw the story I thought was relevant for the Devon listeners to ehar about. I wrote the story for the Radio Exe website and it was first to go live out of all the the media outlets in Devon.聽

My job at Radio Exe each week including working with our Programme Manager Ashley Jeary to update the A and B playlist on the Radio Exe website. For this we have to create the song then search I Tunes and YouTube links so the music can be found by our listeners.聽
The A playlist on Radio Exe is played around 7 times each day, and the B playlist is played 5 times a day. Its an important job to see what new music is played on the station each day.

Now, although I never wrote this article, as soon as the corona virus pandemic hit the county, I was called upon by the Radio Exe Station Manager Paul Nero and Drivetime Presenter Ashley Jeary to edit BBC Radio Devon bulletins to go out on air. since furlough started our news presenters went onto it, which left a gap for our news, Mark Grinnell, Station Manager at Radio Devon kidly stepped into help us out, and it was up to me to take the bulletins from a shared dropbox folder, edit them on Audacity and send through on a cart to go out on air.聽
