Actually, it doesn't. Adoptees have to live the rest of their life with their birth parents' decisions. Aborted fetuses don't.
If you're not adopted, then you have no place talking about the impacts of adoption on adoptees' lives.
“abortion has a great impact on the child’s life!!”
actually adoption has a greater impact on the child’s life but I don’t see people as concerned for our welfare and working to improve adoptees’ lives

COVID is slowly becoming a “third world” disease. While first world countries are hoarding vaccines, having doses for populations many times their size, third world countries can’t get any because pharma companies want to sell to the first world countries first. Even then, first world countries will receive them first. While rich countries recover from COVID, they will forget about the pandemic while many other countries live the absolute worst moment of the pandemic without being able to vaccinate their population.

while i understand trans-ethnic now, im still kinda confused abt transracial esp bc im used to the racist definition, and dont understand social constructs well and, race is a social construct- if it isnt a bother cld you explain it a bit simpler, and with some examples?
hello! yes, hopefully I can explain it better:
so I am a transracial adoptee because I was born Asian (my birth parents are Asian, which determined my race) but I was adopted into a white family (both my parents are descended from other white people). race is a social construct, but it's also defined as an inherited one (versus sexuality or gender, which is not determined by your parents).
being transracial is not an inherent characteristic of mine, it simply describes my familial situation.
a white person raised by people of color could also be considered transracial, as well as people of color raised by people of different races (such as an Asian child being raised by black parents). obviously, interracial couples also exist, so this can be more complex too. the dynamics between these examples are all different though, because white people are the majority group and people of color are the marginalized groups. also, a large percentage of adoptees are people of color adopted into white families, so that's another reason that situation is most talked about.
it's confusing because ethnicity and race are often used together. I would say ethnicity is about culture, whereas race is an inherent identity. A lot of people make assumptions about ethnicity based on race, but they're not equivalent.
for example: as a transracial adoptee, people made comments about my appearance, especially as a child, also especially when I was with my parents. I remember a classmate asking if I was evil for having "black hair and black eyes", and my parents were asked things like how much they paid for me. these remarks were very much based on my appearance (though appearance doesn't define race) and knowledge that I was Asian.
on the other hand: as a transethnic adoptee, I have insecurity with my sense of belonging in Asian-American communities, since my exposure to my birth culture is extremely limited. my life was different from some of my Asian-American friends who were raised by Asian parents. these conversations have been centered more around my cultural experiences.
and then there's combined experiences, such as when people assume I know something about my birth culture (or another Asian culture...) because I am Asian
I hope this helps!

Your blog almost gave me a heart attack before I read the faq. Was so scared in preparation to see some terrifying Oli London bullshit. Kudos to you for using the term correctly and trying to educate people on it.
I..... I've never heard of them, but I looked them up and uhhh... yikes!!

When to click away from an animal video
–Any wild animal in a house/being treated like a pet. Yes, even if they say they “rescued” it. No legitimate rehabber would EVER treat a wild animal like a pet. Repeat after me: it does not matter if the animal is not suitable for release; they still shouldn’t be kept as a pet.
–Free contact with big cats. Even if it’s a “sanctuary”.
–People interacting with wildlife. Feeding, petting, playing with, etc.
–Free handling venomous snakes.
–Predator and prey interacting. Cats and birds, dogs and birds, literally anything else with birds. Cats or dogs with rodents, etc.
–Any video that claims a wild animal is domesticated. Wild animals are NOT domesticated, but they can be tamed. These are two very different things and anyone who doesn’t understand the difference shouldn’t be owning one of those animals.
–Any video claiming that (insert wild/exotic species here) is “just like owning a dog/cat!” i.e. the video that went around saying foxes are “the best characteristics of cats and dogs”.
–Facilities that breed hybrids or morphs (i.e. ligers, white tigers, coywolves, etc)
–Any video by the Dodo
–Obese animals being portrayed as “cute and chonky”.
–Click bait titles about dangerous/exotic animals i.e. “bitten by my king cobra!”, “my pet fox did what?!?”, “letting my pet alligator pick out a toy!”. You get the idea. Anyone using wild animals to get views/publicity does not have their best interests at heart.
–Any “dog trainers” promoting dominance theory (this shit has been disproven so many times and is not even accurate for wolves…)
–Owl cafes, otter cafes, or any kind of wild animal cafe.
Seriously, don’t give these people views. I understand that it can be hard to distinguish good and bad animal videos, but try and be critical of what you’re consuming. Giving these people views gets them sponsorships and money. Plus, more views = increased circulation of the video. This is honestly especially important on TikTok because there are so many younger people on that app. Look at the comment section on any pet wildlife video and it’s “omg I want one!”, “where can I get one?” over and over. And yes, this does matter. It has been proven that the media we consume does influence people to get these as pets. It is currently baby animal season in the US and my clinic is inundated with people who “rescued” baby wildlife (aka nest-napped) and now want to keep them as a pet. Mostly raccoons but also squirrels, opossums, ducklings, wild birds, and pretty much everything you can imagine.
