When the day came that my name was posted as a class valedictorian, I felt very happy because I felt that all my hardworks and sacrifices bare with the very nice fruit. I was so very proud that my family are looking at me standing at the middle of the stage while listening to the proclamation of bieng the class validictorian. For the one who are reading or listening to this statement, I wanted you to become inspired. Aim high but do not force your self to achieve those things that you wanted. Dream big but know your limitations first. Try to upgrade your self but only for the better. No one will help you but only you to achieve your dreams but only yourself.
My name is Donie R. Lauz from Ipil, Batan, Aklan. 20 years of age and I truely believe in the saying that a thousand miles of juorney begins with a single step. I am a son ofMr. and Mrs Dinato Sr. and Elena Lauz. I am a 6th sibling of our parents. I graduated my elementary and secondary level at Ipil Integrared School. During my secondary level as I prevail among our batch, I proudly present that I became a class valedictorian.
Actually, our family belongs as one of the poorest family in our barangay before but not with the God's grace we had overcome the challenge in our life as a family. We became a sustainable family unlike before. I am very grateful and thankful that I belongs to the family who sorrounds with love.
Today I am studying at AKLAN STATE UNIVERSITY MAIN CAMPUS at Banga Aklan taking up a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education major in General Education. I promised to my self that I will became graduate in that course. I will strive hard to eleminate those hard things who serves as a challenges of being a student, a son, a brother, and a good member of a society. I will turn those challenges into an inspiration of making my dreams come true.
Last time we did a paper qulling artwork.
In doing paper quilling you need to become creative and can make sense in every piece of stripped paper. It is hard for me because it is my first time. There is a lot of decisions that I may think first for what design I am going to make and what is the meaning of the artwork that I am going to make. Therefore, I realized that there is a lot of things that will come and will be comming to us to test and measure or passion, patience, dedication, and the most important is our interest in dealing of the things that will make our mind to think critically for those choices that we want to take. It is still up to us to decide wether we stop going with the flow of life or we will continue to sore high and fight for those things against the challenges.
Before, I did'nt expect the thing that I will became a class validictorian. I only did my best. I only did the things that I can. I did not told to my self that I will do my best in my study to became a class validictorian but I did my best to did my part as a student who strive hard to achieve his dream someday.

A beautiful country with even more beautiful people So blessed to have this opportunity to visit the Philippines but mostly to see and experience some of the amazing work the family at SLCC are doing for God and how God has been so faithful to them.
Going 26 years strong in their ministry and it they’re not slowing down any time soon !!!! It is absolutely inspiring their faith and trust in God to provide for not only their needs but the needs of those around them These pastors and volunteers don’t have much themselves but still give all they can to those even less fortunate than them I’m definitely going to miss this country, especially the people but I hope this won’t be the last I see of them !!!
Also I’ll be trying to raise a little bit of money to help SLCC continue to do the awesome work of God in their surrounding neighbourhoods, so if you’re keen to help out, just let me know !!

Reflection Essay
My mother … I take a deep breath as I put pen to paper to describe an experience that shook my family to the core. Those first two words are enough to bring tears to my eyes. She is forever gone to us in this world. I need to pause to collect my thoughts and focus on my task. For months, I have attempted to write about the experience, but could not muster the inner strength. It hurt too much; the wound was too fresh. Nothing I write will bring her back or ease the sense of loss. She was the queen of my family, our bright light who was affirming, caring, honest, and loving. She was our mother. This is the story of our last moments together.
To understand Karen Fadden, you need to know only three things about a very complex person. She loved her husband, her family, and her faith. She cared about people, which led to a career as an operating room nurse. Happiness to her was being with her family. We believed in her because she believed in us. She was deeply sensitive and extremely intelligent, with an almost perfect memory. These characteristics made her condition all the more difficult.
In March of 2016, it became apparent that something was wrong. My mother had been fine, but suddenly and without warning, something was different. She was forgetful and her speech was slurred. My dad brought her to a clinic, but they could find nothing to keep her. That they were in Florida made matters worse, since we were up in Massachusetts. Fortunately, my sister Colleen had unexpectedly ended up in Florida from a re-routed vacation, and she met my parents. It was quickly decided to bring my mom home to seek care in Massachusetts. How they got my mother on the plane is one of the many miracles we encountered. I picked them up at the airport and immediately knew that my mom was in tough shape. She could not walk and was in pain.
During challenging moments like these, you begin to think back on the memories that you had as a child. You remember when you she hugged you and thought you were the best thing in the world; when she comforted you or made you laugh; when she told you not to worry because she would always be there for you when you needed her. There were times when it felt like we were the only two people in the world. I remember the trips we took as a family and the long conversations that we had about so many different topics. She was a special person who was now slipping away.
As I sat next to her bed in our last moments together, I held onto her hand and felt the warmth. I watched every movement she made, her shallow breathing as her chest would rise and fall. I could hear every sound in the room. I could hear when the moment overwhelmed people and they would break down and cry, sobbing at the situation we had no control over. The family, her sister and brother, and some close friends gathered around. During this time, a question that was constantly in my head was, did I do enough? It is a question that I can never answer and is haunting.
We were all gathered around my mom and everyone was so tired. My sisters and my dad were by her side night and day. They were wonderful in their care and love. We were all physically and emotionally exhausted.
Every hour was a gift, but they were hard hours. There were so many wide ranges of emotions. It was difficult when the grandchildren called to ask how she was doing or visited. She continued to grow weaker, and I found myself praying God would ease her pain.
My father was devastated. I knew that this would be the last time my dad and mom would be in the same room together. We let everyone have a moment alone with my mom so that they could say goodbye. In these moments, you try to be strong, but you feel so weak. Yet we stayed together as a family to comfort each other as we watched our mother slip away.
Three nights earlier, my mother had been in a hospital and not in hospice. I stayed that entire night to be by her side. She would wake every few minutes with a look of fear on her face. I would reach out, hold her hand, and tell her it was alright, her boy was with her. She would look at me and smile. That smile was such a gift. The fear would leave her face and she would fall back to sleep. I almost became psychically ill wondering if she knew, if she was in pain, why she was so afraid, and if she felt alone. I will never forget that night with my mother. I stayed that night because I just didn’t want her to be in that room alone. When she opened her eyes, I wanted her to know she was not alone and she was loved.
I wondered, how did we get here? We kept hoping she would get better, but we knew she wouldn’t. Still, in moments like these, you hold onto any glimmer of hope.
Now on this Sunday afternoon, my mom struggled to breathe and was getting colder. It was a heavy weight to bear. Mom was dying, and there was nothing we could do to help her or Dad. We hugged, cried, and prayed. But it was my father who suffered the most.
Thank you!!!

My Wonderful Experience In Boracay
I visited this place and it's a marvelous.
My friends and I took a flight from Manila to Caticlan - a small airport caters only for chartered flights. We took our luggage bags on the ramp, since, it has no high end facility like other big terminals. We headed to a harbour called "Jetty Port". The ferries will transport you to an island called Boracay. There are three boat stations that you can choose from: a) Station 3 - for back packers and relaxation activity. There are also nice and safe accommodations just suited for your budget, though. b) Station 2 - in this place where you can find the center of the White Beach, activity center, shopping centers, dining, hotels, and D'Mall. There are also budget and cheap accommodations to compare with Station 1. c) Station 1 - where you will find more luxury hotels, such as Friday's, Ambassadors, Estacio Uno and Discovery Shores.
There are lot of water activities that you and your friends/family can enjoy from. They have banana boat ride (my personal favorite), island hopping (includes snorkeling and cliff jumping), helmet dive, parasailing, scuba diving, kite boarding, and a lot more.
In order to maximize and enjoy your visit, i would recommend to go during summer time (usually it starts from March and ends in June).
Right now, this place was closed by the government for rehabilitation and is scheduled to re-open this coming October.
Breathe in the fresh air and marvel at the beauty of the place.
When the time came that my brother decided to bring me in boracay for a vacation of just a week, I felt so excited because it is a long years from the last time I went to boracay. I packed my clothes and other gaements to bring for a vacation. When I am already in boracay I and my brother checked in into a hotel. It is my first time to enter that kind of expensive hotel and I dont wanted to show an unusual one so I keep my self calm. We spent our first day inside the hotel. Then when the night came my brother brung me to beach where everyone is happy. I was so satisfied of watching a fire dancers dancing with confidence. They make me more happier than before. Before the light appear in thr sky we decided to go back in the hotel to sleep. After that when we walk up and fixed ourselves in the morning we decided to go to the hotel's swimming pool. There swimming pool is the most swimming pool I've ever seen. After that we went to the hotel's rooftop to view the beauty of boracay. I was so amazed of the boracays view and I've got the answer why it is considered as a tourist atraction.
The seven days that I spent in boracay is one of the most beautiful experience I ever had. I will forever cherish that beautiful experience.

Travelogue quote
This is my choice because I feel better every time I remember the people I loved so much I remember all our friends all having happy memories and every time we met we remembered all the things we used to do. I liken it to my friends who are happier together. It is heartbreaking in the days we spend together.

It's hard for me to put into words why I like the beach so much everything about it is renewing for me, almost like therapy BEACH THERAPY .

The seven days that I spent in boracay is one of the most beautiful experience I ever had. I will forever cherish that beautiful experience.
These are the times we had fun while bathing in Boracay and this is also the day I enjoy because my daddy is still full and nothing will stop us as long as we just enjoy your days.
Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines. It's known for its resorts and beaches. Along the west coast, White Beach is backed by palm trees, bars and restaurants. On the east coast, strong winds make Bulabog Beach a hub for water sports. Nearby, the observation deck on Mount Luho offers panoramic views over the island. Offshore, coral reefs and shipwrecks are home to diverse marine life.
The ferry itself is an overnight from Batangas to the port of Caticlan run by 2GO travel. Our ticket for the ferry stated we had to arrive at least 4 hours before the 9pm set off time. This seemed a little long but we didn’t really have anything better to do in Manila so headed down to Batangas pretty early. The ferry terminal was full of food stalls to keep us happy until boarding time. Getting on the ferry was a bit of a challenge in itself. We were separated into lines of male and female and told to put our bags in line next to us and patted down by security. It was dark and there was a man in uniform shouting instructions at us through a megaphone, It felt a little like I was joining the military or going to prison. A few minutes later the star of this show turned up; a black Labrador sniffing all our gear for drugs. With no illegal substances found (not that there was any there), we boarded the ferry.
If the beaches in Boracay aren’t enough to pull you to its shores, the food options just might! The 6-month rehabilitation of the famous white-sand island birthed new food adventures for tourists and we’ve pulled together a list of old and new food stalls and restaurants you absolutely cannot miss on your trip! From the fan-favorite Four Cheese Pizza at Two Seasons all the way to Sunny Side Cafe’s unique take on the classic Boracay Chori Burger, here are 20 of Boracay’s best food stops!
Beyond Boracay, Tribal Adventures presents the real Philippines: hiking rainforests, rice terraces, and bamboo suspension bridges, to swinging like Tarzan into rock pools of the Bugtong Batu Waterfalls.
This Boracay day trip takes you to Kayak Inn, our basecamp for adventure along Tibiao River, Antique, about two hours from Boracay Island. The tour from Boracay starts early, meeting around 6AM, and is a FULL DAY of adventure activities, before returning to the island at around 6PM.
Thank you..

Essay Travelogue
I am donie lauz born in the province of aklan and I live in a rural area where no neighbors are dark so it was not easy to be apart of my parents my brothers grew up in Manila while I was living alone I was desperate for them but I had to endure everything to get an education even in the lower classes.
In the provice I grew up with no neighbors and no one to talk to but I was able to spend even when I went to school and my teacher's parents also divided me up so that I could eat when I got home and go upstairs. farm to get something to eat when I was at hign school I was having a hard time because before I got home my water supplies were read because when I was crossing it I was reading due to sea water ..
I was having a hard time too. because neither one of me has the support of tears when every parent's calling was not available when I graduated 11 in the provice I was really weeping because my classmates had parents but I didn't have any kids to hang out with.
It was a relief to think that for the duration of my stay in the province or even a call to my mind I did not receive anything even though they said that my son was the only one who always thought it hard It was a joke that my character was being trampled by one of my classmates with no one to help. And the next day I decided to leave the house without a guard to make money asking for someone they wouldn't recognize and to come home with. I was able to save up some money so I could get a fare in Manila ..
But my journey was not easy due to illness due to lack of food and clothing .. I have come home but I have not had them until now I am a 12-year-old graduate but I don't feel like having my graduation but I give it my all I can find only my mis family and a very long time apart from my siblings.

Aklan, Boracay
Boracay is a destination that needs no introduction. Its the beach capital of the Philippines, famous for its azure blue waters and endless stretches of power white sandy beaches. It flaunts a stunning picture postcard backdrop with a poetic looking sunset, but its also a destination where an exciting nightlife can thrive. An odd combo but its exactly what Boracay has been leveraging on all these years.

The idea of writing a poet is already in your mind. All you need to do is to think and expand the idea. And give more pretty color in that idea.
