because emma told hook she loved him because she thought she was possibly going to die AND yet she still went for it, she took the goddamn darkness from regina to protect her, just like that. she took SO LONG to tell hook she loved him, but didn't think twice when it came down to regina. not once.

AND not only that but emma puts her trust on regina, she gives regina the dark one's dagger because she was certain regina would go out of her way to try and save her.

look, I could spend forever picking apart every interaction that these two have over the entire show, but this fucking scene

the face you make when the other mother of your child, who you have a completely normal and not weirdly charged relationship with, takes the darkness for you (because “you’ve worked too hard to have your happiness destroyed”)
