the social norm of âits your ethical responsibility to be constantly aware of, and angry about, every bad thing happening in the world at all times, even if you canât possibly do anything about itâ is possibly the best way I can imagine to create burnout and cynicism and depression in a population, so good job guys

âMost of the time the universe speaks to us very quietly in pockets of silence, in coincidences, in nature, in forgotten memories, in the shape of clouds, in moments of solitude, in small tugs at our hearts.â

âI am sorry if Iâm cold at times. If Iâm numb, and quiet. There is just so much going on in my head, so much noise, chaos, that I forget to be present. I forget to exist in the moment. I find myself lost in my mind, wrapped in my thoughts, drowning in emotion. You see, there is a voice within me that will not quiet, no matter how hard I try to tame it. I know, I need to stop listening, I need to stop believing it. But how can I run away from my own self? How can I break free of my own mind?â

Iâm sorry but art needs itâs context posted by it when in a museum. Not everyone understands why Malevich painted his black squares. Not all patrons will understand Rothkoâs thoughts pressed between his layers of paint. And not every one will be able to look at Kandinskyâs symphonyâs on canvas and know whatâs going on. Every piece in every museum aught to have what it is, why itâs important, and why/where it was created, and what reaction it got. Iâm tired of the elitism in artistic culture that makes people feel as though they could never understand it. Itâs because they know the context and you donât! And museums have failed at that for years. Itâs their job to teach us, just as much as itâs our job to be willing to learn.

âIt is quite unbelievable that there will be people that I will love unconditionally that I have not met yet. Somewhere out there, in a supermarket or singing in the shower, there are souls that have not touched mine yet but will, eventually.â
