✨R E F L E C T I O N✨ While it seems like many are preparing for a "New Year," I feel as though the same process has been set before me every day. Thinking about a new year as a whole is so bittersweet. This year, 2017, started off with adventures of the outdoor & of spiritual growth. Midyear I felt God stirring up a new season in my life & kept myself in prayer for it to be revealed. It then began when my Mamá was in the hospital & during that time I found out I was pregnant! Learning to stay positive while experiencing pregnancy symptoms & being present for my Mamá is a process I do not take for granted. Along with many other highlights & lowlights this year, I accepted that life needed to slow down to become appreciative of living in the moment. Though at times I feel like I'm still trying to catch up with life since everything seemed to happen so fast after my Mamás departure, I am optimistic for a new chapter to be written! I am seeing life in a new perspective & new purpose. Life may not be how I imagined but I am so thankful for the rough, joyful & learning moments. #NewDay #NewChapter #NewChallenges #NewBlessings #AskMeAndIWillShareWithYou #BookOfAbigail

Quote
Whether it’s Sunday and you feel like your life is a display of righteousness, or it’s Monday and you’ve already messed up and fallen short of everything you confessed and declared on Sunday - neither your best day nor your worst can ever define you. If your definition of freedom is based upon your feelings or your actions, you’ll mess up every time, but if your definition of freedom comes solely from the One who wrote the book on salvation and holds the keys to life, you’ll always win. Whatever you feel today, make it BOW to the name of Jesus Christ and KNOW that you’re winning because He’s already won!

If you ask God to lead you, don’t be surprised when He leads you to make sacrifices, when He leads you to dark times, when He leads you to uncomfortable situations. It’s those things that make us want to cling closer to God.
When God is leading you, the pathway you’re traveling will invariably bring you closer to Him.

I want to take a second and explain why this anon situation is so important to me.
About 5/6 years ago, I was that anon. I hated Christians and Christianity. I went out of my way to tell people how much I hated Christians and everything they stood for. I was so full of hate and bitterness, and I had people praying for me too. And guess what? Jesus found me. He met me where I was and drew me out of that place, out of that hate and darkness, and towards His comfort and light. It is possible. We serve a powerful, loving God. Nothing is impossible for Him. I should know. I was that anon. I was Saul.
I scoffed at Christians and now I’m one of them. When God says that He makes all things new, He means all and He means new. Every person can be healed by Him, and healed completely.
I don’t even have enough words to describe the pure joy that has filled my heart concerning this situation. Jesus is alive and He is working in all of us. Rejoice, for we are serving the mighty living God!

Motivated to practice Lettering more and more, so I decided to start a personal project pointing out all the small details of life that I enjoy. Welcome to my progress... I personally love messy sketches to avoid comparing to other great creative people but I'm pretty content with how I am starting off. 🌹Here are my Favorite Flowers: in the picture you see Leucadendron aka Devil's Bush aka Safari Sunset! Never really liked flowers until I had to create my wedding bouquet- Dusty Miller's, David Austin's& Tulips, oh my! Then I started noticing nature more- when I go on walks at home or at work, I stop & stare at it's structure & form. Although I'm not good at taking care of them, I just admire them from afar and enjoy their pleasant individual scents. #FirstPersonalProject #FavoriteFlowers #ProjectLetteringInProgress #Lettering #Leucadendron #Sony6300 #Handlettering (at The Shores)

I am not, never will nor want to be in any position to judge anyone, ever. As I have grown to know God more & accept His works in my life and as I study the life of Jesus on earth & how His holy spirit guides me, I can say I am more confident in learning to JUST LOVE. I am not perfect at all but I am realizing & understanding how His perfect love overcomes all circumstances. With that said, I wear this pin in solidarity. I Welcome You. "No matter what you look like, who you love, whatever your origins, however you worship." #IChooseLove #HisWaysAreHigherThanMyWays #HisThoughtsAreHigherThanMyThoughts (at West Berkeley Family Practice)

On the outskirts of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Ra Paulette’s Luminous Caves lie hidden within a rocky sandstone mesa that appears untouched from the outside. Within it, Paulette’s labyrinthine, sculptural land art evokes Gaudi’s architecture with its high ceilings and organic, spiraling embellishments. Dug singlehandedly by the artist, the caves were envisioned as a place of spiritual reflection and community gathering for Santa Fe area’s rural communities as well as visitors. Paulette created the multi-purpose space over the course of 10 years, describing his process as an organic dance with the land. Within the awe-inspiring architecture of Luminous Caves, Paulette says he hopes to inspire his viewers to connect with the spiritual side of nature. See more on Hi-Fructose.
