Think about it, when Christ comes back, who is going to care that we were approved by someone on social media who probably did not know better? Who cares if they temporarily make us feel good?  How valuable are the "likes" we collect going to be before God? I am not saying it isn't pleasant to have "likes". I am saying that it requires constant efforts on our part to separate ourselves from unbelievers and those worshipping in the courtyard.

He truly provides for us like the birds of the air, if only we will let Him show us how much more He can do for us. It is hard for us to get there because His ways are not our ways

Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." It is not always enjoyable to find out we cannot claim God's promise glibly and it is always a wake-up call when God teaches us the meaning of His promises viewed through His lenses. Yet, I can see it all, the prosperity, the future, the hope, all is there, so real, I can taste it.

The Spirit of God asked me, "Is nursing the notion that I have used Satan going to add to your spiritual life with me?" Then He proceeded to show me that He allowed Satan to ask Him about Job. Like an idiot I said, “oh you were in control all this time!"

True brokenness permeates your life with the words of Job 1:21. Before Him, you become saturated in your nakedness and your nothingness. You are like a sponge, taking your nothingness all in. Being broken magnifies the fact that you belong to Him. This highlights the fact that you are a royal heir with a Father who only has eyes for you as if you were the sole heir.

Failing to make the proper assessment of what is truly going on with our gospel out there, we will never feel the need to bring ourselves to God to apply 2 Corinthians 6:17 in our lives. "Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”

I am telling you the truth, as God is my witness. When we allow them to grow into our roots, these things become so deeply embedded that they cannot be taken away. When I was fighting with Him and would not let go of my religion because I was taught to be proud of my baptismal faith, He suddenly opened the depths of my heart to me.
