Why Bother with Events Like These?
Spending 8 months researching hydrogen production, climate change, and CCUS just to deliver a 20-minute talk might sound like too much—but to be truly prepared, that’s what it took. The challenge wasn’t just gathering information; it was about summarizing complex topics into something clear, structured, and valuable for the audience.
Beyond the research, I had to step into public speaking, a skill that doesn’t come naturally to most engineers. I took courses, practiced, and kept pushing myself forward. It was tough, but in the end, the experience was worth every effort.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey was the people who supported me along the way:
✨ Dr. Mohamed Sayed – More than just a mentor, he’s been a huge influence on my career. His guidance not only led me to this opportunity but also helped shape my mindset, pushing me to constantly learn and improve.
✨ My company team and managers – Their support made a real difference. Having people who believe in your potential and encourage you to take on challenges is something I’ll always be grateful for.
✨ EGYPES 2025 SHOW – For providing a platform where professionals can share, learn, and grow, and for giving me the chance to be part of it.
Another great outcome? Networking. I got to connect with industry professionals, exchange ideas, and build relationships that will help me in the long run.
And of course, let’s not forget the participation package and the fancy lunch—because after 8 months of effort, that felt well-earned! 😂
Looking back, I realize I gained more than I gave. If you ever get the chance to step up, share knowledge, and challenge yourself—take it. You’ll walk away better for it.
