THE REALITY OF TAYLOR SWIFT'S REPUTATION:

Note: views are personal.

Before I begin, I would like the readers to know that I come from a country where cinema and the whole entertainment industry is worshipped like a religion i.e. India. I don't know whether anyone of you has heard about bollywood but let me tell you it is a cinematic universe in India running parallel to Hollywood.So, i have a better understanding of 'authenticity', 'genuineness' and who is 'real' or 'fake'.

Taylor Swift, regarded as the most successful female country and now pop star, is at an all time career high after the premier of the reputation stadium tour on Netflix. But apart from exemplary song writing, great music and her extraordinary relationship with fans there is something else that always surrounds the cat lady; and that is CONTROVERSIES. The surprising fact is that the most uncontroversial woman is surrounded by controversies and rumours. But why? Why is the media so interested in cooking stories about Taylor Swift and levelling allegations against her? Is it a conspiracy or is it something else? Let's have a look at the real picture. Here are some of the allegations against Taylor swift:

1. SHE USES HER BREAKUPS FOR WRITING HER SONGS AND EACH TIME PLAYS THE VICTIM:

To all those people who fall prey to this old gimmick really need some food for thought. If you look at her songs from a more positive perspective, you will find that she just writes her side of the story, what she felt while she was in a particular relationship and she writes about how a breakup took a toll upon her life. In many of her songs she has talked about the things she learnt from the relationship and the ways to move on. moreover, almost every other artist writes a song about his/her romance relationship or his/her breakup, So I clearly can't see any victim card being played here. Moving on to the next

2. SHE DOESN'T KNOW SONGWRITING AND JUST MARKETS THE EVENTS THAT TAKE PLACE IN HER OWN LIFE:

To all those who believe this, can you try to write an autobiography or an excerpt from your life in such a way that it doesn't seem like your own! Instead it relates with the reader so much that he/she can put himself in place of the protagonist. Tough, isn't it? Taylor is exactly doing that. There's nobody else who can write lyrics as beautiful as Taylor. Her lyrics are pure and full of innocence and divinity. One can feel the emotions Taylor was going through during the songwriting process while listening to her songs. The very basic truth is that you cannot write a beautiful song especially a ballad unless and until you have encountered, felt or witnessed a particular incident. Music is basically a spiritual thing and she explores the spiritual angle of love in her lyrics in a time when sexist, vulgar, abusive and meaningless lyrics are the trendsetters. So before doubting Taylor's writing talent, One must keep these points in mind.

3. SHE HAS CREATED A FAKE REPUTATION IN THE PUBLIC OF BEING NICE. SHE CAN BACKSTAB ANYBODY, USES HER SQUAD AND HER FEUDS TO GAIN PUBLICITY. SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE:

The most serious allegation of all that really caused tremendous damage to her public image. It's really sad that this quality of jealousy overpowers human beings so much that they achieve new lows to harm others. Yes, a group of jealous people are propagating this rumour because they cannot withstand Taylor's success as a singer-songwriter. I am not saying this out of proportion, I have enough evidence. The first evidence is her relationship with her fans. She really values and respects her fans like nobody else. For her, fans are not just a source of income but a source of love, support and motivation. She has established a symbiotic relationship of friendship with her fans; both are dedicated and loyal to each. Even when she promotes her albums, she comes up with events like the secret sessions that really make the fans happy; only someone who cares for the fans from the bottom of the heart can come up with such ideas. Now let's look at the controversies. If we carefully look then we'll find that it was Taylor who had always been at the receiving end of a conspiracy. She was mocked at and slut-shamed for having boyfriends, then the drama revolving around katy perry and the west couple and ofcourse the vma 2009, nowhere did Taylor trigger any controversy, it was always the opposite party to ignite the fire. All she did was writing songs about them in retaliation and trust me that was the best way she could give it back to them. Now talking of publicity, let me ask, is there any artist in the whole industry who doesn't do publicity? Is there any artist who doesn't care about public image and PR? this is the most important part of this business and Taylor is in this business to earn money and not to do some kind of social service. So when everybody else is so particular about his/her public image then why this hypocrisy when it comes to Ms Swift? That doesn't make her inauthentic and fake. Her success is an evidence of her humility and genuineness; this is because the karma is real. Fake people who use cheap tricks as shortcuts to reach at the top witness transient success. Tay's eternal success and the amount of love she continues to receive from her fans clearly shows that she is pure and clear hearted.

All she wants is people remain loyal and good to her. THAT'S IT! I think that's not too much to demand. I have seen people who are not even 10% of what Taylor has achieved yet they are fake, arrogant and double-faced. So all these problems surrounding Taylor have been Cooked just to tarnish the image of an unproblematic Taylor Swift. At the end, i would like to say that Taylor is one of the most beautiful persons. So love her and she'll love you back double.
