Louisville is the city of Muhammad Ali, the greatest of all time. His spirit courses through the veins of all Louisville bred fighters. The best pay homage to him, and the rest should as well.
That’s why Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Phillip Perkins has brought real boxing to Area 502 MMA. The leading mixed martial arts gym in the city. You can see coach Phil standing in front of Ali's mural, which he had done out of a sign of respect.
5Star Boxing Academy coaches Aaron Sheckles, and Brian Jackson provide the authentic boxing experience. Something that would make Ali happy to see. With a list of champions, 5 star continues to train people of all ages and experience.
Louisville can be proud that it’s fighters are keeping Ali’s memory alive. It enriches the lives of everyone who lives in this great city.
Thank you Muhammad Ali.

Want a taste of authentic Louisville? Try Beatersville. An antique car show located in one of Louisville's redeveloping troubled areas. It's a mixture of gear heads, artists, and music lovers appreciating classic cars. Get some food, grab a beer, and walk around automotive history.

Good thing about having friends who are photographers, they typically don't mind if you try out their stuff. Kevin gracefully aloud me to take over a shoot he was doing for a model's portfolio, to see what I could come up with. This was my favorite shot
I began working with photographer "Kevin Talley" about 4 years ago. I've considered it more of a friendship than a working relationship, but Kevin will give me work from time to time. Something like that, for a growing photographer, is priceless.
The model is "Kelsey Geiman". She is not only lovely, but can read the exact movements you want from her. Something even the best models have issues with.

Inside the West Braden Springs hotel, you can find the second largest free-spanning dome in the U.S. The hotel was opened in 1852, and because of its mineral springs was named after the German spa town Wiesbaden.
When I was there, musical entertainment was in preparation, and hotel guests sat at the tables eating their lunch. This is what royal treatment must have looked like 150 years ago. Well, at least what it looked like in a small Indiana town.

You can find public places in Kentuckiana that are next to the Ohio river. They are clean, manicured, and perfect for basking around. Though, to really experience it’s treasure, the best path is the less traveled one. Pick a side, choose a direction, and walk along the river. You will find great pieces of driftwood, fossil beds, wildlife, incredible skys, and hidden channels. The river has a soul of its own, and truly makes cities like Louisville great.

Have you ever been to the Kentucky Derby? I have many times, but none have been as unique as the time I took the Wahlberg brothers.
Of course the Derby is beautiful. It’s a holiday here in Louisville. The weather is beautiful, and the people are beautiful. There are flowers, and flower colors everywhere you turn. Everyone around you is smiling, and happily being loud. There is always plenty to drink, and the fragrance of grilled meat in the air. The horse races are so electricfying, the hair raises from your body.
Yes, Derby is great… but its crowded. Traffic is terrible, places to sit are occupied immediately, and you squeeze through crowds of people everywhere you go. Not the worse thing, but add about a hundred pounds of video equipment and some celebrity/industry attitude, and you sir are on a roller coaster ride going through an obstacle course.
The brothers themselves were good guys. I would consider them jerks, but cool overall. I pitched them a reality show idea where I would fight one Wahlberg per episode. They asked me if I was any good at fighting. I told them in my best Ted the talking bear impression, “I’ll beat Mark Wahlberg’s ass.” They told me, “you got balls” the way people from Boston do, and offered me a job in there home town. (Which if you see this Bob, Paul, Jim you guys forgot about me lol).
Good times, and one for the books.
