⸻ stiles' eyelids flutter in pure bliss as percy's fingers drift through his hair. he hummed as his body shifted closer to the pianists' form and he curled up. the most calm he's ever felt in his life. "thank you for staying," stiles mumbled sleepily, yawning as he did. "you probably have better things to be doing."

"i will be here." percy promised, reaching out to run long pianists' fingers through stiles' hair comfortingly. "rest, stiles."

⸻ "i'm sorry for lying to you, ems," the werewolf sighed, the sound filled with so much weight that apollo didn't know how he still stood. the female's expression only made his heart sink lower in his chest. made him regret all the choices he'd made to get them right here and now. even if at the time it had all felt like he had been doing it for the right reasons. "i just . . . i had to protect you and making you hate me felt like the safest option. sure there might have been better ways to do it and i'm sorry i hurt you then and right now. i'm not even asking you to forgive me."

⸻ "okay that was my weird attempt at saying you're in my dreams," apollo admitted, ducking his head with a soft chuckle as davina hugged around him. he turned into such putty so quickly when it came to her. which was a feeling that apollo didn't think could ever happen for him. no person had ever gotten him down this badly before. "no person could ever make me feel the way you do. i've had my fair share of exes and none of them gave me the love you do. maybe it was the fates saving me for you this whole time. like we were meant to be."

' well that's a little concerning if you ask me . ' she teases him , arms moving to drape around his waist as she looks up at him with a grin , a twinkle of a mischievous glint in her eye . ' you even see me when I am not there ? should we get you an appointment to see a head shrink ? ' she's not being mean , but she enjoys teasing him as he had turned into someone who would worship her at any point in time , but had such a hard exterior for everyone else .

' you have my whole heart & I only ever look for you in a room of crowded people , I only ever want to be next to you . forever , so don't go seeing other females in these rooms of yours . '

⸻ apollo hated these facetime dates only for the pure fact it made him miss madi more when she was away. however, getting to see her face in any respect when she wasn't with him was taken at any point. his phone had been propped up on the phone stand on his desk while he worked on editing some new photos he'd recently done for a couple's wedding. there was only a few more photos left he'd needed to finish so what better way to do that than with madi in the background encouraging him. or she had been until her secret talent had come up in their conversation.

his chin was in his hand now, editing photos now totally lost to him while madi performed for him. the chuckles flowed from his mouth as a steady river. each one louder than the last until he was doubled over, wiping away tears from his eyes. leave it to madi to laugh like he never had before. "no i'm actually kind of turned on, you might need to come back immediately."

⸻ ❝ would you stop it ? i can't do it with you making me giggle ! ❞ the pint in hand nearly ends up in the nose of the center back , laughter trilling from pursed lips as she lowers the glass a bit . ❝ i can't - oh my god , okay ; give me a second . ❞ she sets down her phone for a moment , clearing her throat and readjusting her grip on the glass before refocusing the phone camera . it's not exactly how she had envisioned the facetime date ; but apollo had managed to uncover her most embarrassing secret talent during dinner , and naturally he'd demanded a demonstration .

❝ okay . three . . . two . . . one - ❞ within a couple of seconds the entire pint has disappeared , pint glass hitting the table with a clink as the worst part of the schtick - an obnoxiously loud burp - makes an appearance . ❝ oh my god , ❞ she mutters , countenance dropped into the crook of her elbow as her free hand holds up the phone . ❝ i told you it was gross ; i can't believe i just did that in front of you . . . ❞ dimples flex as the apples of madi's cheeks blush scarlet , covering her eyes for a moment before finally glancing at the screen . ❝ this is the part where you say ew , that was disgusting and lose my number , right ? ❞ she quips , a humiliated smirk plastered across her visage .

⸻ apollo was quite proud of himself for that line. it wasn't often he got like this, but when he did? he went all out with the charm, especially when it came to his fiance. she was truly the love of his life and he still had no idea how he had gone through most of his life without her in it. "it's cheesy, but true and i won't deny it. you're my whole world, davina claire, and i cannot wait for the day i finally get to make you a hale."

eyes playfully roll at how cheesy he is being , how he knows exactly what to say to catch her off guard , but she's not irritated or annoyed . why would she ever be ? davina gets up from where she was sitting & closes the distance between the two of them , settling herself on his lap & pressing a kiss to his lips .

' it's absolutely too cheesy , but I find it endearing & I hope you know that I am only crazy about you too , only you . '

⸻ "my sophomore year of high school," meilani recalled, shaking her head as the memories of high school flooded her. so much loss. so much pain for someone as young as she, her twin and all their friends had been at the time. too many innocent lives lost. all the lives that meilani could still hear now if she listened hard enough with her abilities. "i was trying to save my friend lydia and . . . i got taken down with her. got used to lure out my twin. and now here i am. the bite hadn't turned me but it drew out something that had been inside me the whole time. it's both a blessing and a curse."

⸻ "i had nothing going on at the time. why not get tangled up in the supernatural?" the fbi director mused, letting his hand run along the space of her back as he held her close. his head rested on top of hers as she nuzzled into him and stiles felt his whole form melt. as if she were his real life anchor. which stiles was pretty sure she would have been his if he had become a werewolf at all. "you would be the first person to tell me that. starting to think a lot of these firsts were meant just for you."

⸻ his sentiment pulls a small giggle from the lips of the alpha , countenance tucking into the crook of stiles' neck as she simply savors his embrace . ❝ i hate that you had to experience this world at fifteen . . . but in the grand scheme of things , i am glad it led you to me . ❞ arms loop tighter around the fbi director , a gentle kiss placed to the dermis against which plush lips rest . ❝ you're pretty incredible , stiles ; i hope you know that . ❞
