quick ramble:

moral orel, at its heart, is a satire of wasp america. which means a lot of its humor is based one watching it and going "that so stupid, how could anyone actually believe that?"

and i dont think it gets enough credit for how it actually answers that, the aswer being: vulnerability.

we see it in censordoll: her uterus removed at a very young age, she doesnt have to think of it as a violation or something that makes her less than. instead, it makes her holier, more than.

we see it in angela, whos body isnt broken, who didnt lose her children before she even got the chance to meet them; in fact, it was her body that took them to a paradise where she will have all of eternity will them.

we see it in clay who, after his mother died and his father began to neglect him, was left without guidance or direction at age 12. or he could believe that there is someone looking out for him, that has had a plan for him since he was born, that can provide a divine guidance.
