c-madison:
cheeks flushed red, unnatural heat beneath them, the taint of shame that she couldn’t dismissed. she hated losing control and that was why seeing stephanie standing in front of her now filled her with horror and humiliation about the events that had occurred. she liked to call it an event because calling it anything else seemed like it was making it real. “i don’t really have time for that,” she lied, the words not even resembling the truth as her friend would surely know that the only plans she had for the rest of her evening was a law book and a bottle of champagne. she wished she had thought of a better excuse but she put her bag over her shoulder in the gathering silence, barely looking her in the eye, “i’m having dinner with my parents.”
it was hard to notice the change in the other female’s demeanor and for a couple of seconds, stephanie felt a pang of sympathy, knowing that carla was absolutely mortified by the situation. a hand fell to the girls shoulder, hoping to offer some sort of comfort. “hey...it doesn’t have to be like that,” she explained, referring to the look of pure shame on her friends face. steph was well aware of the fact that her words likely wouldn’t offer any solace but she had tried anyway. because not acknowledging it at all just seemed wrong. she would, however, continue the conversation as it was presented. a slow shrug rolled through her shoulders as the brunette declined the idea of going inside for the dress she’d been eyeing in the window, “alright then, maybe another time.” the strawberry blonde rocked back and forth on her heels as she gave a quick glance around, letting carla finish her sentence and then looking at her, brows furrowing and nose crinkling, “that sucks.” she looked down at the time and then at her friend, “it’s already quite late. dinner and then you’re going to take the time to study?” she asked skeptically.

It wasn’t that Stephanie didn’t appreciate charity or giving back, she was more than happy to contribute anything that she deemed a good cause. What she didn’t appreciate were these bland events that most people used as more of a popularity contest than a chance to help the greater good. Everyone’s egos paired with the hand of a near prehistoric politician finding it’s way to her leg under the table had the dancer darting to find the nearest escape. Steph knew that she couldn’t actually walk out, that would certainly be frowned upon. She could, however, get lost for a little while and that’s exactly what she intended to do as she slipped down a random hallway of her choosing. When she thought she heard footsteps approaching behind her, she turned on her heel ducking into the room closest to her, leaning against the door. It took a second to register the fact that someone else was in the room as well, but it seemed as though this handsome stranger was speaking her language. “might cost you more than just a single swig, if I’m being honest...” she answered with a grin.
TRUTH BE TOLD although it was his duty as a monarch to represent and his family, most notably their charity work, ralphael did enjoy knowing all his family’s money and resources were going to a good cause, but, watching this stuffy, uptight, and pompous businessman speak was truly getting to him, as ralph could just tell he didn’t care about this WORTHY cause. he soon slipped away from his two personal security officers, feigning an excuse to use the restroom. he wandered the halls of the estate endlessly until he found a secluded enough space, someones office equipped with lounge chairs, and an impeccable view of manhattan. ❝ gracias a dios, ❞ he mused, thanking the lord in his native tongue for a moment away from the boring atmosphere. he pulled out his golden flask, holding his crown as he tilted his head back getting ready to take a swig, he froze in his place instantly and tensed up as the door slammed shut, he turned around slowly, now struck with fear, he attempted to bargain, charmingly too. ❝ want a swig ? i won’t tell if you won’t. ❞

as was the norm, stephanie had a long day in the studio. it was rehearsal upon rehearsal and she couldn’t have been happier when the day ended. after showering and changing in the locker room, the femme decided that instead of heading right home that she would stop by a few stores. there wasn’t much that a little bit of retail therapy couldn’t help, right? by the time she finished picking out and trying on what she liked, it was near closing time. stephanie paid for the items and was on her way out the door when she noticed the figure standing by the window. “they’ll probably let you stop in and try it on if you hurry.”
she liked to walk. it was probably one of the only times that she was honest because it seemed like every time she opened her mouth she was indirectly lying about everything, it was strange to feel like everything you were was dishonest. she struggled to see that she had any hand in all she had, it felt like she was another of the families heirlooms to be passed along and treasured, a great prize that was perfect because it was completely untouched. the streets were cold but her faux fur coat, as faux as her, kept her warm, down to her bones. she stopped briefly to stare into a shop window, the lights turning off in the background, a simple mannequin in the window wearing a long green dress. nice, she thought, mother would like that.

.・:*:・゚’ twenty three year old female stephanie wilde was made in the upper east side and attended constance billiard. she still resides in new york, and is currently a ballerina with the nyc ballet. they are dimples, daydreaming, a silver locket, & a leather jacket over lace, onlookers say they resemble willa fitzgerald.
hey everyone, i’m taylor and this is stephanie. she’s a new take on an older character of mine that i’m really looking forward to playing. more about her under the cut. like this or message me to plot! tbh i’ll probably slide into all your dm’s so get ready, (this is a new account so im not sure if anything will show in the tags just yet)
Stephanie was born and raised in New York City. Her father is a hedge fund manager and her mother is a socialite who also runs her own boutique.
She had normal, well to do upbringing and her parents are exactly what you would expect when you imagine people who come from ‘old money.’ She’s no stranger to the New York Times Society Pages but has had no problem catching the attention of Page Six over the years either, much to the dismay of her parents. Stephanie tends to live up to the play on words that come with her last name, Wilde.
While her parents are quite stuck up, Steph on the other hand is not. As one can imagine, this led to many misunderstandings in her childhood and still continues to. She is more of a free spirit while her parents are trapped in their conventional ways. Thankfully she’s still able to put on a good show when she knows she’s expected to by attending galas and things of that nature that she knows are expected of her due to her parent’s status. (Best of both worlds, really!)
As soon as she was old enough, Stephanie’s parents enrolled their little princess in ballet class and there was no looking back from there. She had a natural talent that only progressed as she got older. The ballerina has a love hate relationship with the art. She loves ballet but hates how much discipline and focus it takes while she’s doing it. The classes and rehearsals are the bane of her existence, but she thrives being on stage. There’s no one there telling her what do to, counting steps, asking her to repeat variations and she can zone out and do her thing.
Stephanie now dances with the New York City Ballet.
Although she does a fantastic job of remaining poised and graceful onstage, off stage, not so much. As soon as she’s done performing, she lets her hair down (literally and figuratively) and is focused on having a good time. She feels that life is much more fun when it’s a party, so her carefree, live it up attitude typically makes it easy for her to make friends.
As to be expected, with this kind of lifestyle, Steph finds everything about hedonism to be completely normal. Limits? What are those? Her hedonistic tendencies are a cop out for having to deal with anything “real”. Why deal with shitty situations when you could be having fun?
Like most parents, hers only want what’s best for their little girl forever and always. To them that didn’t just mean the privileges that she grew up with, but those that would continue on. That’s where the Hamlin’s come in. They were close family friends of the Wilde’s, as they all attended the same college and had stayed just as close after that. It was a no brainer that they had figured out early on that their son, Adam, would be ‘Prince Charming’ to ‘Princess’ Stephanie. He came from a wealthy family, was handsome, intelligent, and next in line to take over his father’s software company which would in turn mean a secure and stable life for Steph. Adam’s parents couldn’t have agreed more that Stephanie would make a fantastic wife one day. The couple did a fantastic job of keeping up the fairytale façade though as luck would have it, things were completely different behind closed doors. (Adam is a NPC, bc let’s be real, Stephanie can’t stand him. It all started out like a fairytale and was all well and good while she was in high school, but now she’s starting to realize that’s she’s completely over it. This will absolutely lead to drama some way or another! And someone being her escape from Adam is a most definite wanted connection.)
On one hand, if Stephanie is granting you her attention, she’ll make you feel like you’re the only person in the room. On the other hand, she can be easily distracted. When that happens she’s likely miles away in her own head, even though it’s unintentional.
Steph is a wildcard, she’s all over the place. She’s reckless, impulsive and totally random but LOADS of fun! She’s the friend that’s randomly texting you at 4am to ask if you think mermaids are real.
I’m working on a list of connections and such but i’m always open to brainstorming!
Bit of aesthetic (that I’ll likely add to):
Always wearing her favorite silver locket
Dimples
Funny tshirts
A leather jacket over lace
Leg warmers
Mismatched dance gear
