Was bored in school so I made this sketch of a nautolan sith: Darth Umbravis
Following the trend of Sith names with "hidden" meaning:
Umbra (Latin for "Shadow/Shade")
Vis (Latin for "Force/Power/Strength")
So Umbravis = "Shadow Force", a reference to the dark side ;)

Drew with alcohol markers for the first time in my life. Here's my result. (For context: I was in school and didn't have access to better paper at the time)

So I always wanted to try out alcohol markets cause they seemed cool. But I also knew I'd rarely use them if I bought them and in the end regret the purchase. And apparently the gods have heard me, cause yesterday a friend of mine asked if someone from our friends group wanted to have alcohol markers. She got them gifted by another friend at one point and realized she doesn't need them... So... Yeah... That's how I ended up with more markers than I'll ever need for 5€ in total...

So there was this really cute crow (I think) at my school a few days ago.
And I decided to draw him instead of participating in my ethics class.

More art of Soka, now all grown up and from a Sith AU I've created (which I've been obsessed with).

More Star Wars Ocs :)
Soka, son of Vireen. He's a zabrak chiss hybrid and Jedi padawan who survived Order 66.
Backstory:
After the second death star's destruction, I could very well imagine that he's tired by now - emotionally and spiritually. He put up a mask for so long, years that drained his energy, now suddenly demanding it's price. His entire persona, his purpose, was build on being a double agent, ever since all those years ago (aged 16), he offered his service to the empire voluntarily.
And he'd be mostly done exploring, still a curious mind, but with a good as nothing left to discover. The only thing that might still give him a sense of purpose would be teaching others, guiding them, passing on his knowledge and wisdom to the next generations.
But for all intent and purposes, he'd still be an ex-inquisitor and ex-imperial who closely worked with and for the Grand Inquisitor, Vader and even Sidious himself. Part spy, but also loyal and useful enough to the empire to never be killed.
He'd most likely be wandering around the temple once more, this time entering all the rooms he never got access to despite all that time passing, feeling the memories of places that hurt him, haunt him, make him smile, make him laugh, ...
If the New Republic tried to arrest him, Soka wouldn't resist, even without handcuffs. He'd simply come along, silently. Although he'd insist on taking his purple lightsaber with him: the only constant in his life, the only thing that never changed. Something that comforted him, reminded him of his Jedi past, a light to cling on despite the darkness surrounding him, despite the constant temptations. (Soka, stern, as soon as someone tried to take it away from him: "I need this.")
If interrogated, he wouldn't know what to do: Years of hiding his true intentions, his true self, under layers and layers of half truths and lies to protect him from the empire would make being honest feel like being publically naked, exposed. He'd be quiet at first, overwhelmed. If anything, answering cryptically like he always did... He'd be his quirky, unpredictable self, the one that even the empire couldn't fully categorize.
He's faced death more times than he could count, he's faced monsters without flinching, he's faced darkness without letting it consume him... but he was never faced with peace. Not even as a youngling - the Clone Wars ever present. And he hasn't faced that many different people in such a short amount of time for over 2 decates of mostly solitude.
But eventually, he'd break down. Voice uncertain for the first time in ages, hands trembling... Perhaps he'd even fidget with his lightsaber - not igniting it, just playing with the hilt. He'd know if anywhen, then this would be the perfect moment to tell his life's story:
The strange boy left at the Jedi's temple as an infant, 32BBY, with nothing more but his name. The youngling too gifted in the force too ignore, especially precognition and telephathy, yet too rebellious for the Jedi to handle. But just rebellious enough to become friends with the older Padawan Anakin, becoming his "little brother". Someone who asked too many questions, stole forbidden things when no one was watching.
Someone who felt the peace before the storm, felt Anakin slipping away and the darkness surrounding the Chancellor. Someone who dared to confront the Sith Lord himself, alone, in his office, days before Order 66 at age 13 and lived to tell the tale. The teen who somehow survived the Jedi's fall and watched as his peers got slaughtered in the temple.
The survivor who lived on the streets and in the underworld as a stray, surviving by any means necessary, until picked up and spared by an inquisitor at age 16, not out of mercy, but because he was tired of running, offered to join them. Someone who was unable to kill, unable to be a soldier, yet still delivering valuable intel due to his psychometric abilities slowly manifesting.
The inquisitor who learned how to fly a ship at age 17 by repeatedly crashing them or causing other accidents. But becoming a formidable pilot afterwards - daring, reckless, but most importantly: unpredictable, relying more on the force and instincts than genuine flying skills. Someone who was only tolerated because he was useful in other ways. Interesting... even amusing from a certain point of view..
Someone who dared to challenge Vader once being left utterly defeated and humiliated, only being spared so this moment could be used as a lesson: For the other inquisitors and for him (Vader: "The next time you won't be so lucky.") Broken bones, bleeding out on the floor, swollen eye, yet still smirking, restrained fury in his glowing Sith eyes. Laughing at the pain while destroying any medical droid wanting to take care of him. High on pain meds, walking through the Fortress Inquisitorious ad if he owned that place. Knowing that he managed to push one of Vader's chest computer buttons and make him kneel for just a second before Soka got crushed by him and passed out.
Someone who broke down and became panicked and catatonic when he accidentally went too far and killed a Jedi survivor in front of their padawan... Someone who swore to never fight on the battlefield from then on.
A young man who eventually was allowed to live in a golden cage (at 18), the very heart of the new empire, becoming the head archives of everything ancient and ties to the force. A curator of Sidious' treasure in the imperial palace. Someone kept alive because he got results, although always in his own ways, was loyal, although on his own terms and entertaining, like watching an odd curiosity. Someone who finally found out about his parents - Darth Maul and Vireen... A father who he's never known and a mother he has onoy briefly heard of in the inquisitorious.
Someone who eventually found out about Luthen's ties to the ever growing rebellion while shopping for new relicts, confronting him with it. Someone using a one way contact to give the rebels valuable intel whenever possible, but never daring to meet or support them publicly. Someone who recognized Vader as the friend he once had, as the friend he still was, no matter how deep inside. And not as the monster slaughtering innocents he's become.
Someone who held philosophical debates with the Emperor, spared once or twice with his right hand man Vader, went on missions with the Grand Inquisitor - to his annoyance. Someone who lived through the history of places and objects, retrieved long forgotten knowledge and wisdom. Someone who might have even crossed paths with the ISB, helping out in a case or two using his unique skill set.
Someone who tabbed into both light and dark. Who studied the Sith, their philosophy and their ways out of pure curiosity and hunger for knowledge. Dancing with the dark side, but never, except for one incident on Malachor, falling for it. Someone who trained himself in the ways of the force and lightsaber combat when no one was watching.
Him, aliased as "The Seeking", eventually deciding to risk it all to contact some rebels the inquisitorious had a lot of interest in; surviving Jedi, just like Soka. Someone confronting the Ghost Crew and Ahsoka, answering their questions in riddles and half-truths. Someone who told them he needed an anchor, someone to bring him back to the light, if an incident lika Malachor should happen again - a rare sign of genuine fear and trust.
A man who continued to play this double role, live this double live - a rebel spy and an imperial archivist... Never Jedi, never Sith, never taking any side, but instead walking his own path - carving it out, if he must. Someone who disliked the Jedi, hated Sidious for wiping them out and secretly rebelling because of it, yet... enjoying his philosophical debates, his access to anything be desired...
And now he sits here, getting interrogated by what will soon become the New Republic. Unsure of what he is, unsure of what he'll be. And all of his records, if present, are fractured, a patchwork hard to put together: "Weak inquisitors", "eccentric archivist", "rebel spy", "highly dangerous", "completely harmless", ...
If asked if he regrets any of it, he'd calmly answer: "Maul and Vireen gave me life. The Jedi gave me restraint. The Sith passion. The empire freedom. The rebellion hope... If I could have chosen different, I'm not sure what I would have picked. I don't regret any of it... Not really..." He wouldn't ask for mercy or redemption, but simply accept his fate no matter if it ment exile, imprisonment or a second chance.
Regarding the exams:
Again, he wouldn't resist, although he'd insist on privacy and would prefer a droid over a person. He wouldn't want someone to see him exposed - literally and figuratively.
Psychologically speaking, he'd be a wreck. Someone who burried years and years of trauma and life changing events behind more and more layers of masks and personas. Someone who never learned how to deal with emotions, instead surpressing them. Someone who doesn't trust anyone, yet seeks out connection by any means necessary, even if said connections are manipulative and evil, like Sidious. Someone who dissociates a lot and, despite his usually chatty attitude, keeps a lot of his inner world to himself. Someone highly intelligent and empathetic, yet has no idea how to handle people and social interactions. Someone who survives by adapting, by being useful, irreplaceable.
And it wouldn't just be psychological scars he'd carry: His body would tell a similar story - a lightsaber cut here, a blaster shot that was just high enough not to hit his shoulder with it's full wrath there, broken bones which never healed quite right, perhaps even signs of experimentations with the dark side gone wrong... Or lightning scars from Sidious. Things the empire didn't bother to take care of. Things he only survived due to high endurance (likely feom his father's side) and the dark side giving him the strength to do so.
If Luke took it upon himself to make an educated guess of his "force profile", he'd sense that Soka is unsure strong with the force, but his connection isn't dark nor light, but more of a constant storm, a fight between the two.

New lightsaber crystal just dropped
Tyranit
Red crystals with black lightning, which is also how the lightsaber blade would look. They're closely connected to the dark side of the Force in particular. When used in a lightsaber, it enhanced the user's connection to the force (regardless of alignment) and it enables dark siders to do incredible feats, such as force lightning.
TLDR of how tyranit came to be, for anyone's who's curious:
A friend of mine watched Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker when it came on TV. Ever since, she wanted to watch the other movies but didn't dare to watch them on "def legal" websites...
So, if course, being the responsible friend I am, I invited her to my place on May the 4th so we could watch the original trilogy together. (Spoiler: we only managed to watch A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back). Anyway, she tried to say sth about dynamite and titan, so in the end we got tyranit... Which is now a new lightsaber crystal we came up with...
