Here be theories, meta, TFH- and TJLC-stuff. Chris. 18. She/her. It's all fine. @DreamingofHound - If you want to join me on Twitter. I may be quite quiet at the moment, but rest assured there is a lot of meta in progress.

Lady Louisa Carmichael
________________________________________________________________
LOUISA … feminin form of LOUIS, that’s the French form of the Latinized form of LUDWIG, which is derived from the Germanic name CHLODOVECH, composed of the elements:
hlud … famous
wig … war, battle
Isn’t it interesting that the part of the conversation at the Diogenes Club, the one about enemies and a confrontation that should be lost, is directly framed by the introduction of Lady Carmichael and her case?
MYCROFT HOLMES: A woman will call on you – Lady Carmichael. I want you to take her case. WATSON: But these enemies: how are we to defeat them if you won’t tell us about them? MYCROFT HOLMES: We don’t defeat them. We must certainly lose to them. WATSON: Why? MYCROFT HOLMES: Because they are right, and we are wrong. HOLMES: Lady Carmichael’s case – what is it?
Later, in the crypt, Sherlock mentions that conflict again. He compares it to a war, describes it as: ‘One half of the human race at war with the other’ … This sounds indeed like an important and famous battle.
HOLMES: Every great cause has martyrs; every war has suicide missions – and make no mistake, this is war. One half of the human race at war with the other. The invisible army hovering at our elbow, attending to our homes, raising our children, ignored, patronised, disregarded, not allowed so much as a vote … but an army nonetheless, ready to rise up in the best of causes, to put right an injustice as old as humanity itself. So, you see, Watson, Mycroft was right. This is a war we must lose.
LOUISA …. means ‘FAMOUS WAR’ … indeed an interesting choice of name for Lady Carmichael. Purpose or coincidence?
Also this:
“She’s a highly intelligent woman of rare perception. Your wife can see worlds where no-one else can see anything of value.”
Lady Carmichael ‘can see worlds’ …. maybe her knowledge of the universe is as comprehensive as that of Professor Cairns? (Conductor of the Universe)
When Sherlock in TLD doesn’t know how to spend the currency regarding ‘the value conferred to his life’ … maybe Lady Carmichael could give some advice? (A coffin for love Aeroplanes)
And what’s more, Sherlock envisions Lady Louisa Carmichael as the pilot of the plane that brings him back to London. What an extraordinary woman!

Friendly reminder to check your breasts while you’re just sitting there scrolling the internet, then reblog so your followers do the same. Two people I know were just diagnosed within the same week.

be proud of yourself. Getting out of bed is a struggle sometimes. taking care of yourself is hard. keeping clean, staying motivated, recovering, finishing a task, finishing a meal. Every day you accomplish so much. Value your accomplishments, and don’t let others belittle them. You are doing a very good job. I am proud of you.

Attention, BBC Sherlock fans! Our Meta Library is happening.
Our fandom is an amazingly creative place: We gif, we draw, we write – and we analyse. But unfortunately, meta we write can be lost easily since there is no central archive. There are masterlists, sure, yet how often have you read a post that starts with “I don’t know if anyone’s already written about this”?
We intend to fix that.
Our plan is to create a centralised, inclusive, safe, easy-to-browse archive for all meta created on BBC’s Sherlock: the SHERLOCK META LIBRARY. It will be a place for both ‘veterans’ of meta and complete newcomers - as well as all those in between.
The TEAM behind this endeavour is a diverse group of Sherlockians currently working on building the site, developing a tagging strategy, a marketing plan, a budget, and much, much more. Our chief aim is TRANSPARENCY, which is why we created this ‘official’ Tumblr, and other social media accounts will follow. We will post updates frequently and get you all involved!
How you can help:
REBLOG and LIKE this post to raise awareness and signal boost this! It will also show the team that our work is not in vain.
Comment and add your thoughts! We aim for the Library to be created by the Sherlock fandom for the fandom and would really value your feedback.
Follow the official meta library tumblr. You can also track #sherlockmetalibrary :)
Check out this blog’s about page for more details and in-depth information.
Thank you so much in advance, and stay tuned for updates on this exciting project!
Sincerely, your Meta Library Team =)

ABOUT THE MEANING OF SERIES ONE
________________________________________________________________
INTRODUCTION - USER MANUAL - CHAPTER LIST
A little while ago I made a short summary and overview of my ideas and theories regarding the events round the ‘Reichenbach Fall’ - including (mostly) the episodes ASIB, THOB, TRF and TEH - I called it: The Big Question.
This new post can be seen as a prequel to The Big Question. It deals with the episodes of Series One (including the Unaired Pilot). Unlike the other post, this is less about a possible decoding of the actual stories told in those episodes, but more about the probable funktion of Series One as …
introduction (ASIP)
user manual (TBB)
chapter list (TGG)
,,, for Sherlock BBC as a whole. If S1 - and especially TGG - is, what I think it is, perhapst TGG as the ‘chapter list’ could provide some interesting hints regarding a possible continuation of the stoy, that feels at the end of TFP still very unfinished.
Enjoy this idea if you like under the cut …

You know what? Fuck whatever happened in S4, I need to know what happened in this case:
John says: “Sherlock had to dress up as a clown! Mrs Hudson was pushed out of a helicopter! And me? Well, I had to do something I never thought I’d ever do.”
What DID JOHN HAVE TO DO? WHAT WAS THE CASE? HE SAYS “It was probably the maddest adventure we ever had.”
AND THEY DIDNT SHOW US THEIR MADDEST ADVENTURE? WHY?
I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.
JOHN’S BLOG IS A MYSTERY IN ITSELF.
