I seriously don't believe how parents can do this. You hit your child because they disrespected you? And you think it taught them a lesson? Let me tell you what lesson they learnt. It was to not do that thing again in the fear of getting hit. What they did NOT learn was to respect you, love you, or feel any kind of affection for you. Like, how can you think you can demand respect? You can just go around asking for it? Why don't you people understand that respect is not something you can demand, it's something you have to earn. You have to deserve respect in order to get it. I hate these people. Abusive parenting needs to stop.
