i wish wish wish we got to see more of vile as like, a character, because it would be so interesting to see what he was actually like!!

what we do see of him is barely a character to be honest. i understand he's meant to be skulduggery's rage incarnate but he's also him at his lowest and most vulnerable, exploring what he was feeling and thinking would be amazing character building for skulduggery

it is such an interesting opportunity to explore skulduggery's character and it is constantly wasted. how would he react to seeing the main dimensions skulduggery? would he be mad that he's seemingly over the death of his family? would he feel inadequate that he'd not managed to snap out of his rage? we don't see anything because he's got the emotional development of a tornado, he comes in kills people shows how big and strong our favourite special boy can be and leaves

also hate skulduggery forgetting portions of being vile it's more and more like he became this other person and was incredibly powerful and cool (and evil) and less "i did bad things because bad things happened to me and i deeply regret it" you can't hold him accountable when he doesn't remember what he did or why

It’s been fun to draw some of my favourite musicians as these kinds of fantasy characters in suits of armour, so it was only time until I made my way to Hozier too

I tried to incorporate elements from album covers. The Daisy from Unreal Unearth, as well as the water blue background and hair floating from Wasteland Baby

My favourite detail of this is a subtle one. I based the colour palette of this piece from the Irish flag. Colour pick from the deep green tones, cream white and orange gold
