Made a single word change to chapter 12 because I completely forgot that I wanted to rename Kingsley Shacklebolt. Having that kind of last name for one of the few black characters in this fricken' series feels weird and sus as hell. So I'm changing it to Shieldrake from now on. Cho Chang will definitely be getting a rename too whenever she comes up because jfc. 😑

Weird little fun fact: IDK how many noticed this, but I gave Snape a habit of scratching the side of his neck. Specifically where he got bit by Nagini in canon. Haven't really thrown it into recent chapters though because I didn't want to overuse it.

It's just a minor random thing I thought would be fun to throw in.

I finally got out of my depressing pillow fort and read the new chapter- I LOVE IT SM!! The cliffhanger makes me so excited too, but I'm kinda scared for when harry finds out snape is the one who told voldemort the prophecy thingy, and I have a question:

I'm also worried about the prophecy thing because TBH it's kinda a big roadblock for me. 😥 Super complicated situation that I wish I could just ignore, but it's too big of a deal. I'm gonna try and not make it too bad though because it's sorta a downer. I want fluffy Severitus, not this angst!! 😫

Now that chapter 13 is done, I gotta deal with 14, A.K.A. the one where I'm gonna have to figure out how to handle the whole "Harry learning that Snape was the one who told Voldemort about the prophecy" thing. Ughhhh. 😫 It's been hanging over my head for many chapters now. Because fuck, I don't really want it to be something that strains the Severitus because I don't wanna bum myself out, but at the same time, I think Harry should feel at least a little upset about it.

My Snape super blames himself for Lily and James dying and I myself am trying to figure out if that's really fair. Like how much at fault he actually is in this situation. Because from what I've interpreted, Voldemort targeted the Potters and Longbottoms specifically because of the prophecy he learned from Snape. If Snape hadn't told him, I'm not sure how likely is it that Voldemort would've found out about the prophecy anyway. I guess you could say that Lily and James were always at risk as active members of the Order that Voldemort was already aware of, but it feels like an excuse. Should I even be worrying/overthinking this much about this? I've read A TON of Snape Severitus fics over the years and I can't remember this situation coming up in them.

Goddd why does this have to be so complicated, I just wanted to write a fun, silly storyyy 😭 Where is all this baggage coming from 😭😭😭

Thank you for being concerned for me, but I don't think the fic is "plagiarizing" me necessarily. Yes, both our Snapes got taken out by semi trucks and yes the fic did use the same joke about Snape wishing it was a Kia instead and also yes it's an isekai/transmigration thing too, BUT from what I seen from at least the first 2 chapters, it's still pretty different from my fic. Isekai protags getting hit by semi trucks is a common trope in the genre (which is why I thought it would be funny to go with, lol). The Kia joke is a little more specific, but it's not like I own that joke, yanno?

Also sorry for not answering your actual ask, but I didn't want the fic's name to be shown. I don't want to risk any possible form of harassment. It's not something I approve of. I'm sure you didn't do anything to that other writer, but I just want to make it clear! Thank you again for even thinking of me. 🙏🪱

Also speaking of TSDAS, I'm kinda debating on whether I should post what I got now, even though it's not including everything I wanted to get done in one chapter. What I have right now is like 5k-ish words? I'm just worried I'm making people wait too long... but at the same time I don't want what I post to be disappointing if I do it early. Blehhh IDK!!! 😭

Still definitely a work in progress unfortunately... If I had a general planned outline of the entire story, this would probably go faster, but the way I'm writing this is very "off-the-cuff" or however that phrase goes. I can say that we're gonna get some Snape and Hogwarts interaction (by Hogwarts, I literally mean the castle itself) because I've kinda just been hinting that Snape can communicate with Hogwarts now. Also more Severitus of course. More Lupin too. This next chapter is probably gonna be long. Again. 😅

Snape's new connection with mana and Hogwarts will definitely be part of the solution, but I don't wanna make it TOO easy, y'know? Hey uh since I'm taking 10 bajillion years to write this next chapter thanks to ✨Writer's Block™✨, just wanna say thank y'all for the 1k+ kudos on the fic. To me it's a wild number because the thought of that many people liking my weird, silly thing enough to hit that extra button is like. Wowza.

Although I appreciate it a super ton, I'll admit it's also psyching me out a little, lol. But that's just me doing my usual overthinking again. Like I can't help but be scared of disappointing people, because I'm really not planning this story out a lot or trying to get too deep in the weeds with it. I also feel kinda bad because I'm sure there are a ton of fics out there whose authors are amazing writers who are planning everything out and putting so much work and thought into it, but for whatever reason don't get as much attention. Yet here I am, an Ao3 newbie, shoving myself in here with my self-indulgent crackfic and zero other stories to my name. BUT at the same time I don't want it to be like I don't appreciate the kudos and attention, because I appreciate it so much! I'm just a weird little worm full of anxiety. 🪱
