I so agree with all of them except for charlie, i think he'd indeed order a annoying and long order just to piss people of or cause he thinks it's funny but he'd actually just drink just plane black coffee

drinking a mocha and it made me think 'what would the poets favourite coffee be?' so here it is !!

NEIL : i think he'd like those really sugary drinks so i landed on a caramel frappe, i'd like to think neil would purposely get the whipped cream on his face so he could make todd laugh :)

TODD : weirdly i actually think todd would like hot black coffee and that he's actually quite addicted to it but he dumps a concerning amount of sugar in

CHARLIE : when ordering he'd like to purposefully do a long annoying one bc he thinks it's funny but he actually just likes a hot caramel latte

KNOX : idk maybe it's just the fact i think knox would be a sabrina carpenter fan or the fact it fits him knox's favourite would be an espresso because he'd probably like to feel fancy

MEEKS : just like Neil i think he'd have a big sweet tooth and would order an affogato purely for the ice cream cs i don't he'd actually like coffee that much

PITTS : honestly he'd change his coffee order every week but the ones he'd enjoy the most like Neil are frappes his go to would be a double choc frappe

CAMERON : i don't think he'd like coffe at ALL he wouldn't like the bitter taste or how much sugar you'd have to put in to cover it up he'd like the more bland calming english tea with one sugar cube

Guess what day it is!? In honor of December 15th, here's some Neil headcannons!

- Neil's dad was really kind and caring during childhood but he wasn't around much because he took on a lot of hours at the hospital

- Neil's gay awakening was Jeffery Anderson (Todd's brother) who was a senior when Neil was a 7th grader (he didn't realize that he was until years later but Jeffery was his first crush)

- In the "I was good, I was really good" scene where Neil's mom says they should get some rest, he's reaching out to her, he wouldn't have killed himself if she had sat with him and comforted him, he just wanted to know someone was on his side, but she walked away (not really a headcannon, more of an analysis)

- Todd refused to have a roommate after Neil passed. Nolan tried to place him with someone but he flat out refused and threaten to do something to get him kicked out and having an Anderson was good for the school so Nolan folded, it was just for one year after all (more of a Todd hc but Neil related)

- Neil and Charlie absolutely tormented Nolan when they weren't placed together in the dorms, they'd make whoever they were placed with super annoyed so they'd complain to Nolan (or, if it was one of their friends, they'd just ask them to complain). Nolan got so pissed their like 3rd time doing this he made it a permanent placement until their junior year (when canon takes place)

- Neil always made sure to include everyone in their friend group, including Cameron (which is why he was still around because Charlie had enough pull over everyone that if not for Neil, Cameron wouldn't have been there)

- Neil was one of Welton's best students, it was a great loss for the school that year, one of their best student and one of their most prestigious families (Charlie, the Daltons are super well off both on a monetary level and socially), gone

- Neil's passion for acting started with his mom, she used to take him to see stage performances when he was really young and he loved everything about it, the environment, the acting, it amazed him

Isn’t it funny that many people question the sexuality of Knox or Charlie in the DPS, or even the other poets, but everyone has commonly assumed that Todd and Neil were gay? It's as if everyone agreed that this anxious and self-conscious poet boy and this depressed and too sensitive theater kid couldn't be straight. Why is the queer community always dragging mentally ill kids
