We're almost done school, time is really flying. This week was intense because we prepared two presentations. For me this week I was disappointed with my English, feeling like I had regressed. And on Friday in the debate I did not say much because I had a feeling that I could not express myself as I would like, but even so I did, but not as much as I wanted. I think my mind is feeling tired because I've been doing one thing after another. But at the same time I'm happy that I'm winning another stage. We are almost there and it is not time to back off.

Week 10
Tumblr media
This week we learned about drugs and society. Many people when they hear talk about dogras, imagine that this is cocaine, heroine, among others. But drugs goes much further than these two examples. Drugs can be beneficial or what heppen is the abuse of it. We look at three interesting categories of drugs: Stimulants, Depressants, Hallucinogens and Psychiatric. During the week we studied various types of drugs, what stories of them, how it was developed, what effects it causes the body in the brain. We learn a lot of terms, some scientists that help us not only to understand about drugs, but also helps us explain to society how drugs work in our body and what effects they can have.
- What drugs are: Drug is any absorbed substance that changes any physical or psychological function in the body. Drugs have a very interesting history, as drug use began with the findings that many plants helped treat diseases and some symptoms. But one of the information that struck me most was when Dereck explained to us that most of the diseases in our human body can be cured by the body itself.
--------
- Drugs called beneficial are two-way characters:
1- OTC They are these medications that we can buy at pharmacies, are easy to access and they need not be prescribed by a doctor.
2 - Prescriptions are those types of drugs that we also find in pharmacies, but we can not buy by ourselves, these are drugs that to get them we need the authorization of the doctor.
These drugs help to heal and treat diseases or a headache, inflammations, pains, relieve fever, among other symptoms.
--------
- The known Abuse drugs are characterized in a different way, and act quite differently compared to beneficial drugs.
1- Dependence: Drugs that are characterized by having a high rate of people who become addicted.
Among them we have: Antidepressants, crack, Alcool, Nicotine, Heroin, all these and others has led people to become addicted physicists, psychological and even addicted.
Tumblr media
This week was very interesting because I learned a lot about drugs, how they are made, the story of how they were found and developed, and other things. Studying drugs in a detailed way made me see how its use has so many bad consequences, but I was also struck by the way in which marijuana when used for medicinal purposes brings results to people with parckson disease. Studying also definitions of various scientific names or even names that we use in our day to day has helped me to understand that it is important to know the definition about the things we speak and believe, such as: dependent, it is easy to speak, that person is Dependent on crack, but most people do not understand that there are different types of dependency. Many people do not even know what drugs can be drugs as well. Something that really impacted me was that I need to study, to understand about the things around me. Think before you speak and do not create definitions without a foundation.
This topic was very well explained by Derek, he really brought the content a form that was easy to understand, even though there were different and difficult words. I learned interesting things through every presentation about drugs, I thought I knew about drugs but realized that I knew almost nothing. I feel challenged with the presentations as well as mine because I spent a lot of time researching on a type of drug, and we often think we know enough, but we do not even stop to read the study about them or their influence on society. We need to wake up to what is happening around us.

Movie Review
Movie- Gifted Hands
Tumblr media
This is a film that talks about the life of Ben Carson. The film shows the poor origin of when he was a child, and how there was a time in his childhood that he considered himself an ass, because he took low grades at school. His colleagues mocked him a lot. But he had one goal: to be a doctor. His mother always encouraged him and said: See beyond you can see. Her mother could not read and encouraged her children to read two books a week. That's how time went by and he became the featured student in school with the highest scores. But unfortunately he was also bulled for being black. Life was not easy for him; And when he most rebelled he returned to God. He went to the University, and succeeded in achieving his purpose by becoming the best neurosurgeon in the world through the first two surgeries he performed successfully.
* Life and challenges- Since childhood he has faced many challenges. One was because he was black, at that time there was a lot of racism and black people were often not treated like whites were. He was also bullied because he did not get good grades at school and then found that one of the reasons was because he needed to wear glasses. His mother also challenged him to read two books a week to encourage reading, at first the idea seemed crazy to him, he was challenged by his mother, but he persisted, and eventually became passionate about reading. When he was in college he also faced challenges with studies, because he had to study hard and know very difficult formulas, but he succeeded and graduated. He has gone through the challenges that medicine brings, he has managed to make very delicate surgeries, really a life of challenges.
Have Aim: Something interesting is that he had a goal: Become a doctor. And this goal he had helped him to face the difficulties and challenges. He worked hard, he dedicated himself, he gave the best. This is a big differential in his story, he had the goal he gave the best. He studied, he devoted himself, despite the challenges, he did not give up.
He trusted God, he always prayed, he learned from his mother this principle. But he always gave up his challenges and the problems he had for God, and then positioned himself, doing the best he could.
Tumblr media
I really liked the movie, through the history I see how important it is to invest in our dreams and goals. I really liked that the movie tells how it was his childhood. Often we see a person who has conquered dreams and we think it was easy, and when we see that everyone goes through challenges, through difficulty, some spend more than others, but all of us want to achieve our dreams or goals we need to fight for this, Face the challenges and not give up. And his life also shows how important it is to have a relationship with God, it is He who renews our strength and gives us strength to continue and overcome.

Tumblr media
This week we had a lesson with a very good teacher. I learned a lot. This week was the official inauguration of our company, we already have a team of 5 missionaries working with us. This is an accomplishment for my husband and I, even though we have one more responsibility, we are happy to be a missionary and have a business to help us with our support and to help other missionaries. This weekend was wonderful, I rested a little, watch TV in the cold, love this, because during the week I do not have much time to rest. And on Sunday a few friends prepared giraffe meat and seafood for me, my husband and other friends. There are things we only experienced while in Africa. I am grateful to God for another week.

Week 9
Technology and Missions
By: Derek Chingnell
This week we learned how Science and Mission connect together. Science has spawned many opportunities for missions through its discoveries. Unfortunately, many people do not know what a scientist is or what his characteristics are, this lack of understanding makes many think that scientists can not be involved in missions or even be a Christian. Derek also showed the difference between Science and Technology. We also understand what is one of the tasks God has given us here on earth and Scie and Tech are a important part this task. The truth is that God delights in conceiving things and scientists delights in discorvering things.
Tumblr media
* What a scientist: Today many scientists see the problems and want to solve them at all costs and dedicate themselves in an addictive way to find out how to solve them. And still like to tell people that he will solve this. This is a fact that there are many among the scientists. But they are key people for the improvement of our lifestyle. Not to say they have the answers to everything. The scientists: - They work hard, They do things with excellence, They are persistent, courageous, seek for justice, have a desire to understand things, have many questions ... Many Christians think that scientists exist to prove that God is not real, there are scientists who try to do this, but the work of a scientist goes far beyond this. They work hard to improve our lifestyle here on earth. They discover medicines, treatments, develop technologies that help our lives and more. Christians can also be scientists.
* Difference of Sciencia and Thecnology:
- Science is about knowing and Discovery. It is a way to know about our universe, it's also all things we know because of the work we have done. - Technology is about Innovation and Invention. It is how we use the science we know, to make it easier to live.
* What Science and Technology has to do with the Bible:
We are called to relate to ourselves, to God, to others, and to creation. Creation: How have we taken care of creation, what have we done with water for example? Caring for creation is our responsibility, we are part of creation and science and technology has this key role of helping us to care for creation and discover how we can have a better life. We are called to study creation, to encourage new people to be in touch with science, and even in simple ways to solve problems and bring solutions. The is abou justice.
Tumblr media
Personal Impact: This week of school was very good, I learned things I had not thought of before. Having studied what a scientist is and what his mission has changed my way of seeing a scientist. I was shocked to see how much they work and are great at what they do to bring things that will benefit a lot of people. If today has ease of having water in the bathroom, internet, telephone, electricity is because one day a scientist decided to dedicate time studying, striving to bring more comfort and quality of life to us. Also be shocked to see how technology and science opens up great opportunities for missions. In fact it was super interesting to understand that the heart of God cares to see people taking care of what he left us, and often this is not done.
Conclusion: I believe that one of the strongest points for me was to understand more about what a scientists are, because I really did not know very well. I also had a rather distorted view on them. I thought most scientists were not struggling to have power over what God created. I'm not talking about heart motivations, because every person has his motivations when he does something, I'm talking about how many scientists dedicate their lives to caring for creation. After this week my vision of the concept of what a scientist has changed.

Movie Review
Tumblr media
Film: Something the Lord Made
The film was based on actual events. It shows a time when science went through many phases of scientific discoveries, especially in the medical field, to make better progress. The film tells the story of Viven Theodore, he was a carpenter, but he had a dream of becoming a doctor, but because he was a black man he faced many problems, it was a time of great racial prejudice, because blacks could not go to the same places as whites , And also they did not have the same opportunities of studies that whites had. But he loved to study and read medical books and the human body. At this time he had opportunity to work in a clinic and the white doctor Alfred Blalock saw in him a great potential, because even without being a doctor he had enough knowledge. And after much research and they both try, Viven managed to develop the procedures used to treat blue baby syndrome.
Determination: The film shows how Viven Theodore had determination. He was from a family that could not afford to pay a university for him, but even without going to university he studied a lot, especially about things in the human body. He'd put money together so he could get into college one day, but there was a problem with the bank and all his money was gone. He was discouraged, but he overcame discouragement and continued to persist in his dream. It was when he went to work as a janitor in a clinic and the doctor there realized that Viven was very intelligent and began to invest in it, giving opportunities so that Viven could do research. But it was not always easy, Viven could not enter everywhere, but he persisted, did not give up on dreams. And when he developed the process used to treat blue baby syndrome, the other doctor became known, but he did not. But he kept persisting and in the end, through his perseverance and acquaintance he became a great man, and of great respect.
Difference Between The Two: There's a big difference between Viven Theodore and Doctor Alfred Blalock. Viven Theodore loved doing research, studying and had a heart to discover things that would help others. Dr. Alfred Blalock, while giving Viven the opportunity no one else had given him, wanted to be recognized. But the two had important and different characteristics, making them both become a very strong duo.
Tumblr media
This movie is very interesting and shows in detail how was the beginning of Viven Theodore's career and how Doctor Alfred Blalock grew up in his career. I liked the film because it brought it to reality in terms of how racial prejudice was at that time, showing scenes of places for blacks and whites. I felt like I was experiencing that moment because I had never seen movies that clearly show how this happened. The film encouraged me not to give up on my dreams. I think sometimes it is very difficult for me to achieve some objective because I focus on the difficulties, but Viven has gone through more difficult things but overcame it and achieved his desires and dreams. I liked the final part as well, because the film shows the tribute that Viven received, but also the film shows how the real paintings were made in homage to Viven and Doctor Alfrefo. It’s 10 for the movie, it's worth watching.

This week was really cool because we learned through Derik Kirbow practical things we can do to preserve the environment and improve our way of life. But on the other hand I feel very tired, because my husband and I are also openning our own company. So it has been busy days. But I feel privileged to live here at the base, people here help me in different ways. I also really like the moments of intercession in the classroom, God always brings a word of encouragement to my soul. It's less than a month before the school is over, the time is flying and I'm glad to be able to win every challenge.

Lecture Review:
Week 8
The Bible, Science and Worldview
by: Derek Kirbow
Tumblr media
Everything we do is based in Science. This week we learned a lot. Derek gaves us an understanding of how the world works and from this we can know how to bless people. Jesus says: Love your neighbors us yourself . The science teaches us how we can help theses people through their needs. Science and the understanding of the world start by how we think, how we view the world. Dereck shared how important is to understand the about some worldview that have had a major impact on the world. After this understanding we can begin to understand science, also through intelligent questions and critical thinking.
Worldview through the lens of science: Imagine that you were wearing glasses or contact, both of them help us to see details that without them we can not. The glasses or contact change the way we see, we see the world and we can fill with more clarity. This is an example of what consmovision is. We all see the world the differents ways, but we undestand the way that people think, because they think the way the, it bigins to shape our visions. If we undestand the way they think we can work together. It gives us clarity. That's why Dereck explained about Naturalism, Patheism, Postmodernism, Polithetism, Theism and Christianity, because there are so many differences and similarities between them, and knowing this is a key part of blessing each person through their basic needs.
Science and theology is the study of the world and the universe around us. Something interesting is that if we do not apply what we learn then we have truly failed the scientists. Science and thecnology allows us not only understanding about many things, but also brings responsibility for action. S & T is about transformation. When we think about transformation it is fundamental to talk about the basic needs of the human being:
-Food -Energy -Water\Sanitation -Shelter
Lazy Intelectualy- It means someone who does not want to hear an idea that will not be agreed upon. That is, it is a people who are not even open to hear or speak your opinion. Thoughts have meaning for one person, but perhaps it will have a different meaning for another. Differences are part of life and it is fundamental to understand that critical thinking is extremely important if we want to see the world chaning to the better.
Tumblr media
Personal Impact: This was a week of great content where I could learn a lot. This time the teacher went deeper into the worldview of the world's most influential, I feel challenged to study and understand more about each of these worldviews. I feel challenged to seek more understanding. Another thing that will make a difference for me is to understand that science is not only about formulas, it is much bigger than this, it is part of my life. It was very good to learn about the most important needs of each human being, to feel confronted in the sense that there are many things I can do to improve the environment that I live and often do not do. I have also been shocked to understand that I often find myself being lazy intellectually. It was not so difficult for me to recognize that I did not like to be a part of the debates, for me that was just part of my introverted personality. This actually reveals that a lot of time I am too lazy to think, and this has a strong and negative impact on my life, my calling and the world around me. Wow, this was a revelation.
Tumblr media
This week was great, the way the teacher taught changed my way of thinking about Science and technology. I thought that was a very complicated thing for me to understand. But I realized that Science and technology is part of my day to day, of everything I do. I'm sure the lack of knowledge makes us perish. This week I reflect a lot on this, if I know the call of God for my life I need to invest, dedicate myself, give my best. I am not here on earth to be a person without opinion or without knowledge. I really agree that Science and technology does can be seen in everything I do and that if I want to bring transformation to the world I need to devote more to understanding the world around me.

Documentary: Inside the Human Body
youtube
It is a documentary that was produced by the BBC with the high standard of quality. It uses various technologies such as graphics and drawings that were based on scientific research and real images. It starts by showing the process that sperm and egg fuse to create life, it shows in detail each event that led to our birth. We also see the process of birth, where there is the natural and the cesarean. The documentary also makes a journey through the human body showing that from the moment of creation until death the organism works to maintain it. That's why the documentary also shows cases where people can overcome incredible things in water or ice for example. The documentary also reveals something that is essential to life, food.
The process of creating a life: The act of generating a life through the human body is an adventure. The documentary shows detail by detail. It all starts when the sperm is eliminated and there is an opening in the uterus. Hence the spermatozoa begin a long journey towards the ovum. Something interesting is that when the sperm get to the egg, they fight to get in, but only one can, after that the ovule protects itself to let no other enter. Each of these processes is decisive for the fetus to be generated healthily. The documentary also shows the reality of the siblings who were born shot, they are the result of a bad formation, where only surgery could separate them, but this would cause the death of one of the two.
Other thing that stood out for me in this documentary is how our body works soo well to keep it. Each organ has a function, but they all work on one type of connection, making the body work well. That's one reason the documentary shows a man who can be exposed to temperatures as high as -20 degrees for more than 50 minutes. We also saw the man who can hold his breath for a long time. The man who can be exposed in low temperatures for quite a while has plenty of training time, his body functioning is shown to be just like any other human being, there is no difference. But he also believes that his mind has the power to control matter.
It was amazing to see in detail how that is the process of that sperm and egg fuse to create life. Every detail has a function, a meaning, has an importance. Another thing that i like was to understand that our body always works to maintain itself, and how the food is needed, so that we can have energy and continue alive.Another thing that struck me was the ice man's story, he believes anyone can do it, it's just practice for a long time, but he also believes that his mind has the power to control matter. I think that the mind really is powerful, but not because there is a magical force within it. I think there is a power in what we believe as truth or in what we can do. These thoughts generate strength so that we can overcome limits, and he also has a lot of practice, these two things together make a lot of difference.

Week 7
Tumblr media
This week was an adventure, especially on Thursday, because our class had an excursion to some places   . We went to meet a project where there is a school for special children, and also for other people. But for me it was difficult to see all those children smiling despite facing so many difficulties. For me it was confrontational. We were also in the place where all the rubbish from here is deposited. It was literally an adventure, but it was not easy for me, the bad smell was strong and there were lots of flies. But I overcame that. We had good times together as a class. This weekend I also went to Cape Town with my husband to get some rest and meet some friends. Cape Town is  wonderful !!!

Movie Review
Film: Erin Brockovich
Tumblr media
The film is based on a true story, tells the story of a single mother with three children facing financial hardship. Erin passes part of the film having difficulty finding jobs for being single mother, for not having qualification and the form that she was dressed. They go through an accident and hire a lawyer to get compensation, but the weak lawyer lost the case and she got more debt. A while later, during despair she begs this lawyer for a job. She does this, but without any benefit. During this time she meets a man who helps her take care of the children and this ends up becoming a novel. At work she also suffers some kinds of prejudices, but she has become the key to winning a lawsuit, she with a special way and her intelligence manages to make a law firm that was bankrupt winning millions and still helped many people .
• One of the interesting things in this movie is how it shows the reality of a single mother. It was not easy for Erin to find a job because she suffered some kinds of prejudice. For many people believe that a single mother with no work experience is promiscuous, has no values, ie, is a person without moral values and is not trustworthy, the film shows this reality, as it is also possible to see the prejudice by type Of clothes that Erin wears, sexy clothes and this was more a fact for people to look at her and see her as a woman without respect. Another factor she did not get was because she did not have many qualifications and this also prevented her from getting a job. • Erin's personality: Personality and determination were the key to her success. She is a woman of strong personality, she expresses her opinions and is very intelligent and strategic and also not afraid to confront people. All these characteristics made her fight and not give up. But she is also determined, even coming from some divorces, having to raise children, pay bills and still suffering prejudices she did not stop, she remained and this was also fundamental for her to win. • She is a woman who does not accept being judged by the clothes she wears, and when someone from the workplace complains about the types of clothes she wears she does not accept it and does not change. That's her style and people have to accept it.
Tumblr media
This is an interesting film, we see the story of this woman who is a warrior who fought for a dream and managed to get a job, where she feels fulfilled, became a millionaire and even helped others, including the lawyer who was not able to help her At the beginning of the movie. It's very cool how this movie shows that agent can achieve our goals through our effort and perseverance. She really did suffer prejudices for being a single mother, but from what the film reports, I see Erin also a proud woman, because actually to get a job we need to dress properly, we need to respect this, and she just got annoyed when someone talked about Her clothes and did not change. I do not believe what clothes define who you are, but her attitude shows a woman who just wants something her way, I saw in her a woman who manipulates to get what she wants in some moments of the movie, and I do not like it. Even though Erin acted in some ways that I did not like i I believe she has many points to teach us.

Lecture Review
Week 7: Reconcilliation and Environmental Studies.
By: Douglas Baartman
Tumblr media
Douglas started the week telling his testimony. He went through very difficult times in life and after he met Jesus he understood that he needed to forgive the people who hurt him, and he later understood that he was called to bring about reconciliation. Forgiveness brings revelation and generates repentance, and these were two strategies that God gave to him. The lack of Forgiveness blocked the promise of God, healing, opening doors to the enemy and affecting the nation. We also learned about different studies that have benefited the environment. He shared about projects he has undertaken in a part of here from South Africa coupled with the help of the government.
Tumblr media
• Environment: Studies for the Environment have many objectives, one of which is to generate health for the population and for the environment. Many people nowadays suffer from health problems because they do not know, for example, the harmful effects of smoke. This can cause cancer, burning eyes, nose and respiratory symptoms ... Inhalation of smoke can decrease the lung functions, aggravate asthma, no matter what age.
• Projects in part of South Africa: - There are projects like recycling. Many still do not separate the garbage or also do not know how this can be done. The project teaches people about: What is recycling, who should recycle, and what can be recycled. When we separate the waste for recycling, we also invest in jobs, the economy of the country and also the environment. - There is also the project that teaches to make the smoke from coal become less aggressive to the environment and to the health of the population. Something that stood out for me is that these projects have a differential, as they raise awareness and teach. This is quite different. These projects follow three fundamental steps: 1- To understand the problem 2- To Gain community Support 3- To Choose the Approach
• Reconciliation: This was the topic that most caught my attention. Reconciliation begins with me, it is a journey that we can not walk alone, we need God, because He is the one who brings revelation. God calls us to be a nation and to generate unity. To see transformations, we must first look at ourselves.
Personal Impact: I was impacted by Douglas's life and as he creates innovative projects, in reality I see that he is passionate about generating transformation, and he does not create simple projects, he along with the team studies the needs, the type of society , What is the teaching method. These details make all the difference, which is why today the region where there are these projects here in South Africa is an inspiration for other parts of the country. But this dedication is the result of a relationship with God too, since the goal of everything That is to care for and watch over what God has given us to care for. This is an act of obedience to God.
Conclusion: I found it very cool to see the vision that Douglas brought about the importance of being careful about what God gave us to care for. From this week on, I began to observe more of the world around me. Everything I do has a consequence. And it's important that I understand that God cares about how I take care of my body and the environment. It was interesting to be sure that the awareness task is often long-term, many people have spent believing that throwing trash on the ground is normal, and this is not something that changes from day to day. This is a project and perseverance.

Religion in schools breeds good morals
Global Affairs (South Africa)
This commentary is a response an the article Reporting by Jeanelle Greyling  , linked below.)
http://m.news24.com/news24/SouthAfrica/News/religion-in-schools-breeds-good-morals-high-court-told-20170516
Tumblr media
Religion in school has proved to be a good way to teach moral values to students, and parents have appreciated this. A family therapist interviewed students from six schools in which students revealed that the atmosphere in these schools is very pleasant and there is respect even for non-religious students as they do not feel compelled to engage in religious practices and there is also no discrimination. Declaring the practice of religion in unconstitutional schools would have a "considerable effect" on pupils across the country. Most pupils had a "strong relationship" with religious practices, Du Toit said. Most students claim they needed religion and that this helped them deal with problems. But there are those who say that religion may exist in schools, but that teaching about the theory of evolution should continue. There are people who say this believe that these public schools would be abusing the constitutional rights of students to freedom of belief.
Against the facts there is no argument: Through the interview it is possible to see that the students themselves feel benefited by the 'religion' in the school. An interesting fact is that they learn values, and values is something that when learned is not easily broken, this brings great difference not only to personal and family life, but also generates transformation in the world. Today the world suffers also because of the lack of values, many people do not even know what values are. Students say that "religion in school" helps to deal with the problem. Parents also rejoice because they have seen that the teachings on moral values have generated results. Another interesting fact is that non-religious students feel respected by those who are religious. This shows that really the teaching plan is very well done, and that people really understand learn to respect each other.
Theory of Evolution: But some say evolutionary theory should continue; These people also believe that the fact that public schools allow for lack of teaching about the theory would be an abuse of students' constitutional rights to freedom of belief. The theory of evolution goes against the whole belief of Christians. Christians believe that God is the creator of the world, and that the origin of everything comes from Him. Evolutionary theory, however, goes totally against what Christians believe. But the students themselves say they do not feel compelled to participate in religious practices.
Tumblr media
This report made my heart happy, because it is wonderful for me to know that these students feel respected. Especially when talking about religion, I remember when I was in school and people were bulling because of the religion I followed and the beliefs I had. And to see today students feeling respected and unhappy impacts my heart. For many times I think the world is only getting worse. What this report teaches me is that fighting for religion only destroys the world, when we understand that we need to learn to respect each other the world will change, more and more. I am not saying that we have to agree with everything, I am saying that these schools are not wanting to prove that their religion is better, they are teaching about respect and love. Most students claim they needed religion and that this helped them deal with problems.I just would like to know what those problems are.

On Saturday we went to the Botanic Garden here in Worcester. It was really cool, we relaxed, walked, had some games, it was great! And then we had a barbecue in the house of the leaders of the School, but this was a special barbecue because we had various types of meats and foods from different cultures. It was wonderful to have this time together, it was very funny and I ate until I could not take it anymore.

Week 6
Topic: Influencing Spheres of Society: 360 degrees Model
By: Erin Pennington
Tumblr media
During this week has been taught that there are problems that are dilemmas, and often we do not know how to respond to them. Often because we do not study, as a Christian, we often focus only on the intellect and do not seek to understand what is written in the scriptures. That is why it is important to observe the spheres of Society: Government, Family, Church, Economics, Education, Communication, Science and Technology and Art and etertainment. As we see in the image below in the center of the effairs there is humanity, society, which characterizes each of us, but the center of all is God, He is the foundation for our answers. Another interesting thing is that we learn the 360 model. It generates opinions and positions on current `hot 'issues in society, and it also presupposes the importance of responding to societal issues rather than creating them.

1- Society Spheres: They all influence a society and are somehow part of the world we live in. It is God's intention that we can understand the idea of discipleship as nations of the earth. That is why it is important to know every sphere of society and in terms of quality and identification.
Government: Provide and guarantee justice and equity for all citizens.
Family: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for next generation health, growth, values, education and liberation.
Church: Reaach every person with the message of new life in Christ, expressing the character of God.
Economy: Providing needed goods and services and lucrative employment opportunities to the community at a fair price and salary.
Education: Provide the development of God-given gifts in each child for the service of their peers and society.
Arts: Provide rest and renewal of the soul through beauty and joy
Science: Discovering detailed information as natural laws for all living beings, looking for an improvement in the quality of life, health and better management of the natural resources of the universe.
Communication: Provide true and relevant information to society.
                                                   -----
2 - It is important and essential that we know how to respond to the problems that we see today around the world, which are seen by the 360 model and that within each problem it is important to identify exactly what is happening, it is another thing to identify which feeling That this problem is for me. But We can not stick to what we feel, we need to have a biblical worldview, the points that the scripture reveals about the problem.
                                                    -----
3- Inssues take thinking, there are many dilemmas and often the Bible does not bring answers ready, we need to study from Genesis to Revelation to understand the heart of God in relation to so many dilemmas.
Each week I feel challenged about the way I think. But this week I learned that when looking at a problem I need to "get out of the box" it is essential to understand how important it is to look at every aspect of the spheres of society, how the economy can affect or affect a problem, for example. I began to learn in a more practical and efficient way how to look at a problem, to analyze, I learned that it is important to think about how I feel about this, what feelings and this problem generates in me and how the bible has its ways of speaking to us About each problem. I have really been challenged not to be in the comfort zone, but rather to obey God's plan to disciple the nations of the earth and bring about transformation.
I've always admired these people who know how to analyze problems, I thought this would be impossible for me, because I often think I'm not capable, but I learned this week that I should do my part, study, think, write important points, but also Learn how important it is to have people listening and speaking their point of view about the problem as well, as often the things we speak about are assumptions, and alone can not always identify it. This class week was really wonderful.

This commentary is a response an the article Reporting by  , linked below.)

Virtual reality has been applied in medicine to help control pain. Patients who had this experience report feeling less pain, discomfort and discomfort during health procedure.A study in the United States found that children who wore 3D glasses at the time they were being vaccinated reported feeling 75% less pain and 52% less fear than those who were vaccinated without the use of the technology. This idea arrived in a laboratory in Brazil. While the child is being vaccinated she uses a virtual reality glasses that displays a 3D animation. The practitioner applies the injection according to the story the child is witnessing through a computer. By the end of this month, this strategy will be available in some other places in the country.
How the video works: The technology works as follows: When the child sits down to receive the vaccine, she recieves a virtual reality glasses that displays a 3D animation, the enrredo places the child as a hero who will receive a special kind of power To save a kingdom. When the nurse rolls the cotton with alcohol on the patient's arm, the character in the movie says: Now is the time to apply the Ice Pollen. And when the nurse applies the vaccine, the character applies the superpower, that is all the actions and movements that the health professional makes are carried out within the movie's plot.
Children and Technology: Technology is invading everywhere in the world. Technology is no longer a thing only for adults, children nowadays learn to tinker on the cellphone, computer, tablet ... with a very great facility. This 3D glasses is another type of technology that is trying to conquer its space in the market around the world. Technology has a strong power of influence, not only for adults, for children as well. There are already videos, apps for most ages, even for rescued babies. Children use their imagination a lot, from there came the idea of 3D glasses with an imaginary story, where the child can feel part of the plot.
Private Labs: In Brazil, this technology only came to a network of laboratories (Hermes Pardini Laboratory), this is a particular laboratory network. That is, it only exists in a laboratory and they will expand this technology to their own networks of laboratories. Not yet hear that other laboratories will adhere to the idea, also did not hear the government pronouncing on this, if they have plans to take this technology to the public health network.
I liked this idea, there really are children who are terrified of hospitals and exams. There are children who are traumatized and can not see a needle, so I believe this is an idea that can bring many benefits in the sense of reassuring the child. I found it very creative, because it is not a video, there is a story, a story that holds the attention of the child. But at the same time I worry, because I would not want children to get caught up in the illusion, but I believe that this technology can do much more than harm. I hope that the technology will gradually reach other laboratories and also the public health network. I believe altor did a good article, just think he could expand the benefits more benefits the technology, and think about the possibility of harm.

This week was very different, I have tried to give me more opportunity to relate more, but it is not easy, because I have a lot of home. The class of the week was very good, but at the beginning it was difficult to engage with the theme and it was also more difficult for me Understand some words, but from the middle to the end I get to understand better and it was very cool, especially the last day, where the teacher prayed for us and we had a moment of ministry.
