Buffy season villain escalation:
What's the evilest thing you can imagine? A vampire who is trying to destroy the world
What's even eviler than a vampire trying to destroy the world? A vampire trying to destroy the world who is a soulless demon with the face of the person you're in love with
What's more evil than that vampire? A local government official
What's more evil than a local government official? The united states military
What's more evil than the United states military? A literal god of hell
What's more evil than a literal god of hell? A white man who is a raging misogynist & also depression
What's more evil than depression & a white man who is a raging misogynist? The embodiment of evil itself. & That's a wrap folks!!

buffy summers really is the most character ever. she averted the apocalypse multiple times. she came back from the dead twice. she fought dracula and won. her first impulse when someone said they thought she was just a myth was to tell them "you were myth-taken." she led a workers' uprising while wielding a hammer and sickle. she couldn't fucking drive. she killed a demon with a rocket launcher stolen from the us military. she was really into figure skating. once she fucked so hard that the building she was in collapsed. she got a job slinging burgers. and she was even bisexual

Tubi is the best streaming service because it captures the feeling of a video store, but not a corporate video store like Blockbuster, or even a good indie store, but a rundown video rental place under a overpass weeks away from closing down. You'll find, like, 2001: A Space Odyssey next to a unwatchable copy of a 70s exploitation film and a micro-low-budget indie and a movie called STRIPPER VAMPIRE MASSACRE III but you can find no evidence of STRIPPER VAMPIRE MASSACRE one or two existing.
This is a real, commercial streaming service and they've uploaded films with the DVD menu visible for the first few seconds bc it's a recording of a DVD copy. What a titan in the landscape of streaming

Actually while I’m in the mood to think about Dawn I wish we knew more about her relationship with Faith
Like, Dawn is relatively close with all of Buffy’s other friends, and since we know that everything that happened with Buffy and Faith is still canon, Dawn would have false memories of Faith and vice versa. Dawn would have been there that Christmas that Buffy went to go talk Angel down and just left Faith hanging out at the Summers household; Dawn would have been there when Faith came over for dinner the first time and ate all of everyone’s food; Dawn would have known about it when Faith eventually started working for the mayor, although she may have been spared the details of what exactly went down. She also would have been there when Faith broke into Buffy’s house in season four, when Faith and Buffy switched bodies, when Buffy made the decision to follow Faith to LA.
And here’s the thing: I think Dawn would have really looked up to Faith, initially, the way everyone is drawn to Faith, initially. Faith is so much cooler than Buffy. She has a Boston accent and she dresses in black leather and she tells stories about slaying demons and wrestling alligators – Buffy never tells Dawn any stories about demons, at least not in graphic detail. Dawn would have been twelve when Faith first showed up, around the age when a lot of people start experimenting with makeup or worrying about clothes for the first time. You know Dawn would have tried to do makeup like Faith’s at least once, or tried to imitate her effortlessly cool way of speaking, or gone through Buffy’s closet looking for black clothes.
And Faith would have given Dawn a nickname, and let her try on her jacket, and recommended different music for her to listen to. Honestly, I think their dynamic would have been a lot like Dawn and Spike in the later seasons. Faith would never do anything to hurt Dawn, and Dawn would idolize Faith – right up until she hurt Buffy.
But here’s the other thing: I think Dawn would have grown to understand Faith, the way that Buffy grows to understand Faith, after going through all the trauma of seasons five and six. Dawn loses her parents like Faith does; she feels constantly overshadowed by Buffy like Faith does; she feels infantilized like Faith does; she feels alone and unloved like Faith does; she acts out and breaks the law and tries to put up a tough, cool exterior shell like Faith does; and she hates herself and hurts herself like Faith does. I think Dawn would have hated Faith on Buffy’s behalf (and felt extemely betrayed herself) when she does her face-heel turn in season three, but by the time she comes back in season seven, I think Dawn would have had much more complex feelings about the matter.
Anyways season seven already had a lot going on and it makes sense that they couldn’t fit everything in but I just really wish they had explored Dawn and Faith’s dynamic at least a little bit more because there was so much wasted potential there, and it would have been nice to see a new plotline about characters we already care about instead of shoehorning in more and more characters only to kill them off almost immediately.

I really haven't seen much of Charmed, but I feel like I've seen enough to boil it down the crucial ingredients:
having enough highlighter on your boobs to reflect the sun into a magma ray
men who can't act
serving CUNT

the best part of each x-files episode is waiting for the end to see who's gonna do the sign off report cause when it's scully it's usually something like "once again, despite my partner's opinion to the contrary, i cannot confidently say that there is any scientific basis to the theory that alien ghost blood was responsible for the disappearance of the crack in the liberty bell" meanwhile if it's mulder we get gems like "are we alone in the universe? what does it truly mean to be alone? did bigfoot fuck the speaker of the house? as always i am left with more questions than answers and don't know who to trust and i think scully changed her shampoo and..."
