One of my favorite historical tidbits is that Arab traders, for centuries, fooled Europeans into thinking cinnamon came from a rare, vicious and fearsome cinnamon bird.

it's well established that r/twosentencehorror posts are funny when they are absurd non sequiturs -- your milking your creature, your 92 year old chicken, so on -- but there's an incredible understated hilarity in posts where someone has clearly had an idea that doesn't actually fit the format and try to brute force it with the most oddly detailed and stilted sentences you've ever seen

actuaally fuuckingggg hate people who dont like art in any meaningful way unless its a drawing of batman mixed with superman or some shit. All those videos where people "destroy modern art" by putting a random object in a museum and insulting people when they take pictures of it are so irritating. Like yeah im sure some of the people taking pics are kind of annoying but most people are just trying to find greater meaning and beauty in things especially when theyre in a museum specifically to do that. You arent badass for not liking art youre just boring and refuse to find something interesting or beautiful in things you have already decided you hate

I'm still not over one of Trump's lawyers going to court this past week to defend Trump's executive order against "gender ideology," only for the judge to ask very plainly for the lawyer to explain what gender ideology is and the Trump lawyer to respond "its whatever the president thinks and I'm loathe to speculate what exactly that could be" and the judge was like are you fucking kidding me you're a lawyer and you can't explain things your client has said to a judge???
