Amritsar#2: Watching the beautifully lit Golden Temple in the night and relishing the sunrise light Amrit Sarovar in the same complex, hanging outside from a Tuk-tuk with 15 people stuffed in, watching the fervent nationalism of Indians & Pakistanis at the Border closing ceremony at Attari (which was preceded by women coming down the border, dancing to patriotic Bollywood numbers and running with the national flag 😁), eating Amritsari Chole, Dal Makhni and Parathe from 'Bade Bhai da Dhabba'. This city has so much to offer!

Amritsar#1: Kind Sardars who proudly tell you everything about Punjab, Sikkhism, show you around the city and then invite you to their home, Staying at the free temple accommodation and watching people go about their routines, Talking to pilgrims, Absorbing the Gorgeous atmosphere, Eating the free nutritious meals (Langar) prepared by volunteers, Drinking Punjabi Lassi and paying respects to the thousands of martyrs who lost their lives in the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy of 1919.

Night Trek to Matheran! Trekking through a jungle in the moonlight, with snakes, frogs, guitars, mouth organs and a super-fun & eclectic bunch of people! One of the most refreshing weekends I've had in a long time.
