For the writers struggling to rid themselves of the classic ‘said’. Some are repeated in different categories since they fit multiple ones (but those are counted once so it adds up to 100 new words).

A doll was brought to life by a surgeon who wanted to try and see if they could do just that. Put a human inside a different vessel, a doll. There were many prototypes before them. At first, the surgeon used cadavers, but the organs didn't work. They didn't function. Failure after failure. Eventually, he had to stop using cadavers. Instead, he hired someone to get bodies for him. Working ones. The person he hired was specialized in this, they'd preserve the body after they killed them. But the organs still stopped quickly. It didn't work. How about they take out the organs and preserve them like that? It gave better results, but the doll wasn't alive. The surgeon used a glass doll, it had a shattered arm. He replaced the arm with a plush arm. The doll, if it worked, wouldn't be able to move their arm like that. But it'd be fine. With a glass doll, he could see how the insides worked. He put in gears to move the organs, to make them function. And others were preserved. It took try after try, until he found the perfect way to achieve his goal. A doll was brought to life.
